What's going on this week

The week begins with the final day of Last Quarter Moon.   Again as I mentioned last week we are focused on the details of our emotions and our family.  Tidying up the messy stuff or at the very least our responses to the mess.   And really at the end of the day, isn't that all we can do?

On Tuesday we go into the Balsamic Phase.  At the same time Sun in Libra gets into it with Pluto and then on 10/3 it gets into it with Uranus.   Keep your eyes out for a punching bag.  No telling who it will be and hopefully it is not you!

And at the end of the week we are rewarded with a big fat NEW MOON in Libra.   I will be putting up that article in the coming days

In the meantime make the most of your anal retentive Virgo Lunar Phase by cleaning out your closets and throwing crap out.  Both physically and metaphysically.

Here's a little music to help take the edge off Leo Balsamic .

Balsamic Moon Phase
October 1, 2:47am EDT

Balsamic:   We let go.  By releasing we can prepare for the new.

Focus on   We release our need to be big shot.  We release our big ego.
We release the part of us that needs to be special.

Special focus:
10/1 Mercury/Neptune:  Dreamy thoughts and visions.  Talking about things that spiritual.   Feeling closer to spirit.
10/1: Sun/Pluto:  Over compensating to keep power at bay.  Is it working?
10/3: Sun/Uranus: Abruptness, being “not nice”,  Rebel versus being “too nice”

A weird weekend, no?

So, I’m curious about last weekend.   Was it weird?  Was it moody?  Were you down?  Were people off?   Was it just a weird dance?
And how was sleep?   Rough?

I ask because yesterday (Monday) morning I received messages from several people asking me about what was going on astrologically?  Because they had a moody weekend and Monday.    And a rough sleep.

This struck me because I had my own super weird night.   I had one of those spooky oh-my-god-I’m-so-glad-that-was-a-dream Dream.   Weird people, a lost computer (with all my work on it) stressful dream.  I woke up in a cold sweat.   Additionally my husband told me he woke up at midnight convinced it was six am and he had to get ready for work.   Which NEVER happens.    Another friend had dreams about dead relatives and told me her boyfriend called her up and said he dreamt about his dead mother.  And some people just wok up with a hair up their ass.

My gut is going with Pisces Full Moon (19th)  (yes moon had moved into Aries by weekend but it was till the Pisces Full Phase) .   I wrote about it and pointed out that it was pretty much a Pisces Full moon Bam!   Pluto goes direct (20th) Bam!  And Autumal Equiox (22d) Bam!

The tweaked energy may have been a bit more than we could process.   D HI

Heavens knows the story out of Nairobi is so awful.    Sigh.

If you had a weird three days, not just usual weird but unusual stuff or moods around you or your own,  let me know.

I gotta say I felt like the veil was thin.

The Week Coming up

The week begins with Disseminating Phase, where we look around and see what we can share or what we can receive from others.

Focus on:  What are you sharing with others that speaks to work?  When you look around your life what results do you see happened by putting one foot in front of the other and just simply doing the work?  How can you share that knowledge with others?

On the 26th, love and money get an infusion of foreign interest.  We bridge to a new group.  We stretch.

At the end of the week is Last Quarter Moon.  This is when we make our final action on the seeds we planted back on new moon.  On this particular last quarter moon, the emphasis is on our emotions and family and how they connect up to the details, work, discipline, daily scheduled asked of us by the Virgo phase.

Focus on:
How does your family need tidying?  How do your emotions need tidying up?  How do your roots need tidying?

On the 28th Mars and Venus get into a nutty tussle.   Actions could put money, resources and love at risk.   Resist the urge to let ego take over.   Ego could hurt loved ones and wallet.   Watch thy actions!

And of course, remember Last Quarter Moon we are reminded:
God, grant me the Serenity
to accept the things
I cannot change Courage to change the
things I can, and the
Wisdom to know the difference.

Have a good week.

Pisces Full Moon - September 19

Pisces Full Moon
September 19, 2013
7:12a EDT
26 Pisces 40

The Full moons are in many ways the antidotes to the New Moons.

The New Moon is when we activate and rally our energies through the filter of the sign.  By full moon we are at the halfway point of the 28-day cycle.  We are at the highest point of the roller coaster just as it begins the drop down and let gravity take over.

All Full Moons are desperately needed when they hit.  We feel the inspired lightness of Gemini Full Moon during fiery Sag cycle and we need the grounded Capricorn Full Moon when watery Cancer is spreading all over us.   But arguably, at least in my opinion, Pisces Full Moon is the needed by us the most because Virgo, the queen of details, facts and things that are exact can be so wound up by the time the full moon arrives, that we need to remember that at the end of the day, we simply are not in charge.    We can button up, and cross t’s and dot I’s all we want but there is this thing greater than us that calls the ultimate shot.   Karma, Darma,  God, Spirit and even if you are a huge disbeliever—Random Chance ---are all in effect and under the domain of Pisces.   Thankfully so is prayer, meditation, art and music.   And yeah booze and drugs.

On this Pisces Full Moon the Sun will have a bit of challenge with Mars and Venus in Scorpio.   Actions that are deep or covert will be challenged by nervousness.  When digging in and doing something important do we have the strength to keep our mouth quiet even when awash in nerves?  Do we have the ability to go in and find a deep reserve and not talk something to death or worse yet, THINK something to death?  Do we have the ability to release and let go without reaching for the Xanax?

We have already discussed the cardinal energy crosses that are bearing down on us and god knows this week it is pronounced. Ask the Naval Yard in Washington DC.      We also are processing stationary Pluto who once a year turns directs and will be doing so on the 20th.  Remember, when Pluto turns direct and the days and weeks that follow we can get an energy boost that says, “Okay, let’s get this show on the road.”   Stagnate energy can be replaced with movement.   Is it confidence?  Maybe.  But more likely it is just ‘enough is enough.’ Watch and see what comes up in the next few days that energize areas that have been stuck.

And of course we have the Autumnal equinox on the 22nd.  I personally love the big woo woo days that is spring & fall equinoxes and summer & winter solstices.  For thousands of years our ancestors in ancient Europe, Asia, America and Africa got their party on during these events.  They approached these days as a big download where they could speak to the god(s) about crops, planting, harvesting, long sunny days or preparing for long winters.  Now with our 21st century lifestyles of  electric light bulbs and Whole Foods we’re not as worried about the god downloads.  But remember somewhere in your DNA is thousands of ancient grandmas rattling the cages.   Perhaps we will receive something interesting from spirit during the equinox. See what comes up around the 22nd that might surprise you and thank that long dead grandma.    And by the way, Happy Birthday Libras.  A little extra hug for our friends born between September 29 and October 2 who feel like they are in cross hairs.

One other thing going on the Full Moon and a special thanks to Stephanie Austin for pointing out Caylin Castell’s website.       Cayelin & Stephanie took note that the connection between Venus & Saturn & North Node in Scorpio are a rare event.  The last two conjunctions were in 1956 and 1454.   I was not here for either and given the next one is in 2161 I won’t be around for that one as well.     However, having said that, I was born with a North Node in Scorpio and I can speak to the power of shedding.  I can also speak to Saturn conjunct north node and tell you it is first and foremost---immaculate timing.     If you have the guts, put on your There-Are-No-Accidents- suit and live your life as fully as possible without going for the I’m-always-a- victim or I’m-always-scared hat.  That hat does NOT go with that suit.  Anyway,  we’ve been in this cycle for the last couple of weeks. Which I mentioned in the new moon report.  But you might enjoy  RubySlipper who has written up a pithy piece all about this energy.

In he meantime, have a beautiful Harvest Full Moon and consider: What is it that you are harvesting?  Joy, abundance, fun or resentments, gripes, victim hood?   And if you don’t like your harvest then go back and get your Virgo on, shift your approach and fix shit.

Happy Full Moon.

Birmingham Bombing 50 years later

I'm a day late on this posting.
Many people remember MLK's "I have a Dream Speech" but what people forget is that a month later four little girls died in a racially motivated crime (these guys were the right of the KKK).   These girls were not leading a crusade. They were going to Sunday School.
Historians look back on the event and describe it arguably as a galvanizing event that moved the civil rights movement in a new trajectory.  Primarily white America got off their white butts and got involved.    Of course it was an extraordinary year, two months later JFK would be dead.

Look at the Moon in Leo elevated at the top of the MC.   Innocent children connects up along with family when it comes to the moon.  Who could not ask, "What if that was my kid?"

It was a loaded 10th house which is the public house, Uranus (disruption) Pluto (power) Sun, Mercury and Venus all in humble Virgo.   Mars and Saturn Square, no shit.

Condoleeza Rice was friends with one of the little girls and lived about two miles from the sight. She was 11 when it happened and felt the floor shake when the bomb went off.

More info:

American racial urbane violence, the bombing of a church in Birmingham, Alabama. Four African-American girls, Carol McNair, age 11, Addie Mae Collins, Carole Robertson and Cynthia Wesley, all 14, died in a dressing room in the church basement when the bomb detonated. The bomb, apparently hidden under the church steps the night before, blew the face of Jesus out of a stained glass window. The bodies of the girls, dressed in white for an annual youth service, were found beneath the rubble. The Birmingham bombing holds a special place in civil rights history because of the randomness of its violence, the sacredness of its target and the innocence of its victims.

Do you know David Crook's website, Stellar Insights?
You should.  I frequently mention him here on TracyAstroSalon.

Here is a smart piece he put up about this week's full moon.  Which is as he reminds us, The Harvest Moon.

Harvest Moon 2013

The Harvest Moon is the full moon that falls the closest to autumnal equinox. Full moon in Pisces will come on September 19, 2013 – at 11:13 Universal Time. The September equinox – the Northern Hemisphere’s autumn equinox – will be forthcoming on September 22, 2013, at 20:44 Universal Time. Although the full moon happens at the same instant worldwide, it also occurs at all hours around the clock, depending upon one’s time zone.

Previously mentioned, is the fact that dwarf planet Pluto is virtually stationary at the time of the Harvest Full Moon, and rising in the Syrian capital of Damascus. This is certainly a dark portent of extreme, life and death conditions.

In mythology, the god Pluto is symbolically linked with the harvest, as his release of the maiden Persephone from the underworld, and her subsequent reunion with her mother Demeter, corresponds with Spring when the seeds are sown, so they can later be harvested in the Fall. Moreover, Pluto (aka Hades) as lord of the underworld, has an affinity with the wealth and riches obtained from mining the earth- and the unconscious.

Cast for Milan, Italy~ Sept. 19, 2013 Harvest Moon

Before this Full Moon, Venus and Saturn conjoin on Sept. 16, followed shortly by a major conjunction of Saturn with the Moon's fateful North Node in Scorpio. Ideally, the latter aspect relates to getting on track with our long-term goals and destiny. Whereas, Venus-0-Saturn challenges the structural integrity of love and relationships- while strengthening those unions that are built on solid ties. Some fear or anxiety may arise if we are feeling insecure.

The Autumnal/Fall Equinox itself, is a time of balance and harmony as we enter the harvest season of Fall. Day of the Dead, Halloween, and Thanksgiving are all holidays created to celebrate the harvest- while acknowledging that birth, death, and renewal, is the eternal process wherein we may consciously participate.
