The KITE
Between August 9 – 11th we are in a KITE aspect.
Imagine a kite. Visualize a long spine to the kite and upper part is triangle shape. Got it? In astrology this is the kite aspect. The aspect involves at least four planets who are in grand trine and sextile and two of the planets are in opposition. Obviously, that is a lot of planetary choreography, and it is a rare aspect. In our case this August we have the Kite aspect with five planets which has never happened with these planets in these signs. You know what, why don’t we go to the dictionary and look up ‘Has never happened before” and we will find 2025. Okie Dokey.
On August 6 Mars enters Libra. Remember you can’t have a kite without an opposition. While trines and sextiles flow and offer up a ‘rainbows and unicorns” softness (sort of), the opposition brings the power and the destabilizing factor. The fact it is Mars is big. No matter what the planet, the opposite planet brings the battle. In this case it is not Venus or Mercury, it is warrior Mars who is fast and is fierce. Really, we get Mars? Must we experience that planet? Sure. We all signed up to be here now, so I guess we are up for it. Sigh.
The kite window is August 8-11, but I would start watching the world on August 6thwhen Mars enters the Libra door. Also, adding to this potent window is the Moon in Aquarius on the 7th which will trine and sextile the group and then it makes a conjunction to Pluto and opposes Mercury. And of course, it brings the Aquarius full moon on the 9th which has its own juice being a full phase. On the 11th We have round two of Saturn sextile Uranus as discussed in other post and Mercury stations direct ending the three-week retrograde.
This is a Wow period.
This kite obviously has many competing themes that are inspiring or opportunistic and disruptive or fierce. I am beyond my skill set and knowledge bank to venture a guess how all this will play out. Some of it I can sort through, like the Saturn Uranus sextile and yes Mars trine Pluto is productive in pulling out garbage. But when you add all the other factors, it is so big, it is beyond my scope. Here’s the line up and we’ll all watch what happens together.
Aug 6: Mars enters Libra
Aug 8 Mars trine Uranus (1Aries)
Aug 7 : Moon enter Aquarius
Aug 7 : Moon trine Mars (0 Libra)
Aug 7 : Moon trine Uranus (1 Gemini)
Aug 7: Moon sextile Saturn (1 Aries)
Aug 7: Moon sextile Neptune (1 Aries)
Aug 7: Moon conjunct Pluto (2 Aquarius)
Aug 8: Moon oppose Mercury (4 Leo)
Aug 8: Mars oppose Saturn (1 Aries)
Aug 9: Mars oppose Neptune (1 Aries)
Aug 10: Mars trine Pluto (2 Aquarius)
Aug 11 : Mercury stations direct (4 Leo)
Aug 11: Saturn sextile Uranus (1 Gemini)
On August 28 Neptune is exact in the sextile with Uranus. Obviously, it is part of the kite aspect even if the exact perfection occurs after Mars has left the window.
