SuperMoons & Earthquakes

The Chile Earthquake has taken place about a day before Virgo Full Moon. The Virgo Full Moon is perigee (close to earth) and syzgy which identifies this as a SuperMoon. SuperMoons are associated with the work of astrologer Richard Nolle (who interestingly enough, I posted a link to his website on Monday discussing the aspects of this summer.) A few years ago I mentioned Richard and the SuperMoons HERE

I've gone over to his site to see what he had to say about February and I found THIS. I think you will find it interesting.

Full Moon Virgo

Virgo Full Moon February 28 11:38 am (EST)

The Full Moon at 10 degrees of Virgo is in opposition to the Sun (that’s what makes a full moon) at 10 degrees of Pisces. Humanitarian, spiritual, connecting to the bigger picture is Pisces. Virgo is the nitty, gritty, the stuff that is in our hands, the stuff that we are doing right now in front of us. To say it simply, Pisces is the Macro and Virgo is the micro. This full moon will put the pressure on both areas. We are trying to take care of business but at the same time we are asking the big, unanswerable questions.

For those who sometimes wonder if there is a god or a bigger, higher power--- we may be challenged a wee bit more on this full moon because the stuff that makes our daily life could be so overwhelming and so stressful that we keep asking “Why me? Why now? Why am I dealing with this?”. Of course, that’s the Virgo talking because Pisces knows there is no answer to any “Why?” question.

Additionally on this Full Moon, Jupiter is throwing all its weight to the problem or solution. As we know Jupiter is the largest planet and when it meets with The Sun (an annual occurrence) it shoots up the sign with a huge dose of steroids. It has been a dozen years or so since The Sun and Jupiter met up in Pisces so you might want to go back to your diary to figure out what was going on February 1998 and see if you have some stuff come up from that period. Where ever Jupiter goes it has the power to exaggerate and with a Jupiter conjunct Sun in Pisces there can be issues around zealotry, religious extremes, mysticism, humanitarianism along with depression, ennui, and booze and drugs can be pronounced. The Virgo Moon puts the emphasis on how you live your daily life. If you have a good set of routines or habits then the Jupiter energy off over there on the other side of the teeter totter may reward you with a little boon. Not necessarily a lottery win but maybe the comfort of knowing that when the world starts rocking’ you seem to be able to breathe through the bumps and make your way through. At the same time, if you do not have solid routines and daily behaviors then expect a tough full moon as the emotions could reach a high water mark.

There is one area on the full phase that is quite beneficial and that is a beautiful trine between the Moon in Virgo and Pluto in Capricorn. When Pluto has a positive aspect with another planet there is emphasis on power or empowerment. With a Moon Trine Pluto our survival instinct is high and if it means shedding or cutting our losses for the benefit of our future---and quess what? We're willing to do it. Watch your casual thoughts during this phase. See if your daydreams (Pisces) lead you to thoughts of new areas and growth (Pluto) that expand your world (Jupiter) and a whole new daily life (Virgo). Those Daydreams could be a road map to your future.

Burn a light.

The Summer of 2010

You know that feeling when you've been cooking for days and days and you just can't eat your own food anymore? Even if it is Turkey sandwich, you just need someone else's version of a turkey sandwich rather than your own. You know that feeling? That is how I feel about the Cardinal Cross/Climax/TSquare of this summer. I have been talking about it for a couple years and sometimes I'm over the sound of my own voice.

With that in mind, I thought I would share another perspective about this Summer's activities. Richard Nolle is a highly respected Astrologer. Here's what he has to say: (GO TO THE LINK for the whole magillah)

That 2008-2010 Saturn-Uranus opposition series concludes this year with the April 26 and July 26 apparitions. While both alignments mark times of great social, political and economic import – give or take several weeks either way, because these planets move so slowly - the July 26 alignment appears to be especially momentous. It occurs under a full moon, and includes Mars conjunct Saturn, opposed by Jupiter conjunct Uranus, all squared up to Pluto in Capricorn – the signature T-Square of the year, with the Red Planet and a full moon thrown in for good measure. Mars is integral to both of this year’s final Saturn-Uranus oppositions. It’s still in its Mars Max phase for the one in April, and is part of the opposition for the one in July. These are indications that the H1N1 pandemic is still a public health threat through mid-year, at least. But that’s not the half of it.

There’s an element of social strife to any Saturn-Uranus opposition, as economic hardship grows and the consequent suffering attains critical mass. Consider the "Tea Party" movement in the US and the Green Revolution in Iran, for example. Both arose during the 2008-2009 Saturn-Uranus oppositions, and both countries were suffering under the burden of high unemployment at the time. With Mars playing a big role in the 2010 concluding alignment of Saturn and Uranus – further complicated by the other planets involved, the T-Square, etc. – I’m expecting a bang-up finish.

Oh, the Aquarius Lunar cycle.......

I was ill for the last ten days but not so sick that I had to stay in bed. It was more annoying than that. Basically running at 70 percent, not enough to stay home but ill enough to make all tasks hard. Such was my spirit when I produced a big charity event this weekend. I thought often, "That which does not kill me makes me stronger" and of course because this is Aquarius, I remained committed to the project because it involved Community. One does not give up when it is for the betterment of the group----especially on an Aquarius lunar phase. And I'm happy to say the event was a success.

Now, curiously, on another Aquarius topic I have to say this period is as weird as I thought it would be and I am finding friends saying they too think they are experiencing strange stuff.

My friend sent me the following email and I thought, "yep, Aquarius lunar cycle."

And the other day, after picking up my dog from the vet, a true vision rode by on a 10 speed. I'm not even
exactly sure what it was I saw, but I will try to describe anyway:

-A man
(again, on a 10 speed)
-over 50
-tall
-obese - probably in the 300- 350 lb. range
-hairy
-blue eye shadow
-turquoise thong
-micro ice skating-type wrap skirt over thong that left
almost nothing to the imagination
-complicated black string bikini wrappy top
- bare legs
-no other makeup save for the eyeshadow
-when I did finally get onto the boulevard and was riding
behind him, I was treated to the site of his pale, hairy, fleshy
butt cheeks spilling over the sides of his bicycle seat.

It was fairly disturbing, and I tried but couldn't figure out what
his point was. Oh well.

Life in the big city.

What's Up?

Take Note that February 23 (Tuesday) has a beautiful aspect between the Sun and Pluto. We get two of these a year and they are a real perk to our pysche. The Sun encourages Pluto to access power and Pluto energizes the Sun that it is okay to shed and grow. We can let go and evolve. Hurray. "Can I shed ten pounds?"

We move into the quarter moon today, Which as I indicated on my New Moon article:

quarter: We do more actions based on the information that we just received. Or we feel our instincts guide us on something. We pursue again. We make another call or we see someone. We mail something. We stir the pot again. This can be a time when we realize that the goals we planted on New need more action from us, perhaps actions that involve breaking away. Are there people who say they have our best interest in heart but fear us growing away from them? Maybe we need to get help from others not the usual suspects. Some independence may need to be exerted.

Focus on: The seeds you planted on New need actions now. Have you told the right people what are/were your plans? Have you got the message out? What actions can you take now that would benefit by shared information? Is there data out there that needs to be incorporated into your goals? When was the last time you read a newspaper? Read about your community and see if you don’t learn something that helps your goals.

Aquarius New Moon 2010!

Well, I don't know if we are ready for this lunar cycle but whether we are or not it is coming. We have a strange weird road in front of us but if you think back on it, we have already been on a curious trip, thing is...it is now about to get a lot more curiouser.

As always you will find my entire new moon article posted HERE (Margaret Wendt's website). But I do want to give you a snippet. Go to the link for the whole article. There is a lot there that I think you will find interesting.

With the Sun, Moon, Neptune and Chiron all squished together this lunar cycle we will find each of us looking for our own unique drummer. We will want to be brilliant, we will want to be innovative, we will want to break free and carve our own way. But at the same time we have to be careful that we are not just being a rebel for its own sake and we need to watch our dogma. If I didn’t mention it, Aquarius is one of THE most stubborn signs of the zodiac. All the fixed signs are stubborn but there is something about Aquarius and perhaps because they are so invested in doing things THEIR way that makes their stubborn energy difficult to navigate for many of us humans. I mean a Leo can be stubborn but on some level they are easier to understand because they are so human.

Watch your own independence kick in this cycle. For 28 days you may find yourself standing up for something that you would not have even thought about three months ago but now it seems so important, especially if it involves community. At the same time are you being a rebel? Are you being drawn into something that feels electric? Take note of people in the news are they full of charisma and able to charm the world with their electric energy or are they just downright crazy and walk into the room and suck up the energy. And during this cycle, which one are you?

Now what about Neptune and Chiron? Neptune is our connection to Spirit and or God. Neptune is the planet that fills the void as we contemplate The Creator and his/her plan for us or Neptune creates a void as we feel confident no one is listening to our pleas and prayers. Neptune can bring in red rosy glasses, illuminating a beam of light on a passionate nun. But Neptune also dissolves those things that we felt for certain would be here forever.

Chiron is the great healer but it starts with a wound. Wherever Chiron is in our personal charts we will self wound. It is the exact spot where we screw up and we know deep down it is our fault. It hurts and at some point we usually make changes and heal some part of our behavior until we screw up again. Through this conflict we gain and what we gain would not have come to us without the conflict. Unfortunately, the best we can usually do with what we gained is by helping others. Oh, did you think you would screw up and say an apology and then get the goodies? No. It doesn’t work that way with Chiron. You improve your life by helping others through your own misdeeds. Ah, remember that as the cycle unwinds.

Many apologies

I'm sorry I was not able to post much last week. I was a bit under the weather and at the same time pedal to the metal with things that I had to take care of before this weekend! It was a hard week but now it is over and I'm free to enjoy the new moon with the rest of you!

see next post for more information.

Venus & Neptune

On Monday February 8 at 12:44am EST Venus will snuggle up to Neptune for her once a year make out session. She is beautiful, she is love and she is money and he is dreamy, mystical, and elusive. What a perfect energy to set up the week that has Valentine's Day. The aspect between the two planets is a conjunction meaning they are on top of each other. Like everything in astrology people will ask, "Is a conjunction good or bad?" And of course the answer is, "Yes" (Oh, how people hate that answer). It is neither good or bad it is both. We could feel at one with the world and feel as if spirit is guiding us about issues of beauty, love and money. Or we could feeling too much and perhaps throw out caution as we dreamily say yes to things that on a more sober day we would never have pursued.

I am not going to tell you what to do or feel or think, but just a word of caution---stay away from the booze, enjoy the energy to a point and remember when Venus moves away from Neptune you may not feel so lovey, cozy or abundant by the end of the week.

4th quarter Moon

As we all know there are eight phases of the moon and yesterday, we moved into 4th quarter Moon which is last two phases (4th quarter and balsamic) of Capricorn Lunar cycle. Arguably Capricorn lunar cycle is one of the most critical cycles for this year. Without overstating it, the great issues in front of us are due to Pluto's placement in Capricorn (infrastructure, government, money) and accentuated by the Square with Saturn in Libra. With that background it is important that we all do diligence and not waste any of the valuable Capricorn lunar phases.

I get it, you are too busy to follow each phase, too much to deal with as you live your life. I get it, I get it. Hell, I can't keep up with the phases myself sometimes. But this Capricorn lunar phase is just that important that we should do the work of the phases. So, I encourage you as we work out the final days before Aquarius New Moon you consider the work of 4th quarter and balsamic.

I will repost from my Capricorn new Moon report.
Fourth Quarter moon: Now we do the final adjustments to the seeds we planted on new. The final call, the final letters to send, we follow all the trails that came up that still make sense. And we let the other parts lay fallow. It is a time of action but wise action. It is a time for living “The serenity prayer”

God, grant me the Serenity
to accept the things
I cannot change Courage to change the
things I can, and the
Wisdom to know the difference.

Focus on:
Resources and power. Loans from banks, IRS, Sex, death and rebirth. If there are some sources of power that you have not reached out to in the last three weeks that could really help your goals which were set on new moon---Then do it now! Do not be scared of stretching yourself to find some power. Do some real movements towards your goals. Get some backup from some powerful places or people. Also, cut and trim those things that no longer serve. Release and rebirth.

Special Focus
2/6 Mercury/Uranus Dynamic, creative thoughts, solutions come to your brain out of nowhere (seemingly)
2/6 Jupiter/Pluto Dynamic energy brings something foreign into the forefront that is a helpful catalyst. CHANGE is good.
2/8 Venus/Neptune beautiful energy from spirit. Feeling in tune with God. Loving our lovers and partners.

February 9
5:44am
Balsamic

Balsamic: We release. We let go. We prune, we discard, we ditch stuff. We house clean. The things that no longer work, we let them out of our life. We release so we can clear our unconscious and dream. We prepare our unconscious to be ready for the next

Focus on
Some of the goals that we had on new moon no longer feel valid. Great. Release them now since they are no longer important. You have been the boss of you for the last 3.5 weeks now you can fire yourself. Release and let go so that you can be ready for the next new moon.

Special focus:

1/11 Venus in Pisces

DownJones

Okay, No one who checks this blog regularly should have been surprised by today's big dow drop.. For eff's sake we had Saturn Square Pluto on Sunday, on the last day of the summit in DAVOS where if you don't know all the money bigwigs either smiled to each other in hotels or avoided each other in elevators, some lied to each other and others whispered little truths to each other but all in all...they put their seats back in their private jets on their way home and said, "holy, moley, we're 'effed". Oh, yeah and the PIIGS (Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Greece and Spain) are about one minute from going belly up--especially Greece. All of that sat like fried swiss cheese in the guts of our BigWig Money guys, who arrived home talked to their fellow executives on Monday and Tuesday and then screamed, FIRE!

The Euro began to crash and Dollar went up. But----if the dollar is so strong why did the stock market go down? Oh, yeah, that's that thing we all have, if we're lucky, between 9am and 6pm---- jobs. But the deal is, the job report is coming out tomorrow and it is not looking good.
And in the middle of this mess, Gold which has been building steadily since summer had a huge correction and went down 49 dollars.

I do not have MBA on any certificate in my house but as long as Saturn and Pluto continue to dig into each other we are all finding our bottom line. Both planets are deadly serious, neither like frivolity and when it involves Libra and Capricorn our relationship with money is number one ---and any fissures and cracks will be found out. Greece appears to go belly up, Euro goes down. I have said many times that currencies are under assault (blame sovereign debt) and while the dollar today looks good we are still faced with the overall problem that all the countries have too much debt and at some point everyone is going to have to raise their hand and say, "uncle." And perhaps we will see one huge reboot as each country says, "I'll forgive your debt, if you forgive ours." If that happens, prepare to feel pain, especially if you see yourself as middle class.

Remember we have got the cardinal cross building all year so everything is on the table in terms of governments, money, infrastructure, and currencies. They are all in play. Especially since Pluto is key planet. Of course, a lot of this will be hidden from us but if you keep your antenna up high, you should not be surprised.
