Astrology This Week

This week begins with Balsamic Moon.   We are releasing.  If some of you have had your emotions on a roller coaster, you will find yourself just letting that go.   Perhaps you just don't give a shit.  Good for you.   On Tuesday beloved Mercury will go retrograde and we know what that means.   Let's get our teeth drilled without numbing agents!   See separate post below for more details on retrograde.

Virgo New Moon Solar Eclipse is September 1.
I'm working on it right now and will post later tomorrow.
Not going to sugar coat it, it is a bitch but I want to take time and highlight the nuances.

Watch this space.

Balsamic Moon Phase
August 28, 2016
11:36am EDT

Balsamic:   We let go.  By releasing we can prepare for the new.

Focus on We release our emotions.  We release our moodiness.  We release our roots.  We release our need to hang on too tight.

Special focus:

8/28: Mercury conjunct Venus.  Thoughts about love.  Love of thinking.   Creativity and values and mind are in synch.
8/29: Venus enters Libra
8/30:  Mercury retrograde (see above) 9:03am EDT

Mercury Retrograde Ahead!

Mercury Retrograde

It is interesting that our brains have to go backwards for three weeks while we process the eclipses in September and the Saturn/Neptune final square.   Well, that’s not exactly true our brains stay where they are but our thoughts will slow down.  Perhaps we are not supposed to get too far out there with grand ideas.   Instead our brains and thoughts have to be measured as we look at our daily life and make sure we are taking care of ourselves.

For nearly a year we have been processing what is bluster and righteous from what is real?   What is deceit from what is a higher love?   And everyone has been tested to WALK their TALK.  If we aren’t doing it we’re getting called on it.  If others aren’t doing it we are calling them on it.  Some are jettisoning people from their lives because they don’t do what they say.  And visa versa, others are ditching us because we aren’t doing what we say.   This last battle over truth between Saturn and Neptune will have the benefit of Mercury retrograde.  It is as if the universe is saying to us, “I’m going to talk real slow so you really understand me”

The Mercury dates are as follows:
Mercury enters shadow August 10
Mercury station retrograde August 30 at 29 Virgo
Mercury station direct September 21 at 15 Virgo
Mercury exits shadow October 6

If you remember the mercury retrograde of June and thought it was a pain in the ass then prepare for pain in the ass part two.   I will say that the mental mess up that is Mercury retrogrades in mutable signs is tempered a bit when it is in Gemini and Virgo since Mercury rules both signs. But at the end of the day there is no getting away from it that our brains may feel like they are bouncing beach balls on a mac book.   Frozen at one moment and then revved up so much it feels like the synapses are feeding off Red Bull.

Our calendars may be a bit insane and I don’t use that word figuratively.   There may be very little air in your schedule.   Getting grounded could be difficult.  Take off your shoes, feel your feet in the grass.   Get a hair cut.  Get groomed.   Get new vitamins.   Be aware of your body.    Yoga will really help.     By the time we get to September 23 some of us will feel like we are on another planet and we will all be relieved.   And as always, double- check every email you send.   Do not hit REPLY ALL unless you mean it.  Watch your banking transactions and other things you do daily.   Do NOT buy a new computer or phone or anything big.   Unless you are forced.  Double check all your vacation plans.    Make sure you print the right stuff.

This Week in Astrology

We begin the week in Disseminating phase.  We're in the final ten days of Leo Lunar phase as we head towards the mighty Virgo Eclipse on September 1.    We could get a flavor for the eclipse on August 24 & 25 during the Gemini Moon.   Also on the 24th Mars gets into it with Neptune, which could be explosions and petroleum issues.   Also gases.   Yeesh.  Watch the world.
In the meantime make the most of Disseminating and Last quarter Phase this week.

Aquarius Full Moon August 18

Full Moon Phase
August 18, 2016
5:26am EDT
25 Aquarius 51

The Aquarius Full Moon is when we look up from all that we have been doing in our world and see if there is anyone else out there.   Hunched over our life like a CPA at tax time, we stretch our backs and look around and notice other people during the Aquarius full moon.

We go from personal to impersonal.  From self to others.    But it is not just enough to see others we are compelled to get up and connect with others.     Aquarius is the water bearer or water carrier.   For thousands of years humans retrieved water from a well or stream or perhaps fountain.    They would walk, often a long distance then dip their jars  into the well and return back to their homes.   Water is critical to life.   Try to not eat for a week and you’ll survive.   Try to not drink water for a week and you will be in a world of hurt.   Water is important but with Aquarius there is something more than water going on.  The actual trip to the watering hole was a source of community.   Conversations took place.  People heard what others were up to and then when they went home they shared the information.    The water bearer was in the know.

During Aquarius full moon we look around and see who is in the know.    And more to the point we look around and see who is our community.  We ask, “Which person or people am I in sync?  We find the value in being with like-minded groups.  This is where we can find creative genius by speaking with other like minded.  This is where we find our tribe.   And remember in this case with Aquarius full moon, tribe is not family.

This Aquarius full phase the moon is sextile Uranus (along with Sun trine Uranus) which puts the accent on breaking out, taking risks, reaching out to someone new.  Novelty and unusual will catch our attention.    The Moon is also inconjunct Mercury & Jupiter suggesting that big opinions and barbed communication may be missing the real point.   Don’t get caught in the weeds this full moon with myopic rhetoric.  Instead seek others that enlighten you or seek to express your thoughts and inspire and enlighten others.    Leo,  the other half of the Aquarius  full moon is about being personal.  Does your group support you personally?  Are they in sync?  Do they help you widen your world or enrich it?   Or are they just big mouths, spewing what you already know putting you in a giant echo chamber?  To that we say, “blech.”  Nothing about Uranus in that scenario.    And by all means let's all avoid the belligerent hot head bullies!   Some of those will get our attention on this full moon.   For sure.

Take these three days to find some tribe members then process how you connect with them.  Be inspired.   Be creative. Be genius.  Come out of it with a new found energy that propels you forward.

And sure you can just have a great cup of coffee with a friend and feel a little lift off.   But remember--- no rhetoric!
