Winds of Change

Well, that certainly was the week that was.   The Supreme Court ruled on ACA (Affordable Care Act) and withheld the individual mandate through tax laws, the court also ruled on Arizona's immigration law (struck down parts held up one part).  And in Europe leaders bent over to save the Euro from evaporating thanks to Italy & Spain's crumbling economies.  Kind of like a Tom Cruise marriage.   It was quite a week.

Ray Merriman rang in on some of the activities.

The headlines said it all last week, and the key word in every instance was “Surprise!” Surprise Supreme Court decision for full support on Obamacare. Surprise decisions and agreements of European leaders to deal with their ongoing debt crisis at the Euro summit meeting, in which no such surprises were expected at all. In fact, most commentators suggested the summit would be an utter failure. This is the nature of Uranus. Nothing goes as expected, for better ort worse.

In response to these projected disappointments and then realized pleasant surprises, the equity markets of the world reacted in typical Uranian fashion too. They were erratic and volatile. They were down until Tuesday, went up strongly Wednesday, then fell sharply again on Thursday, only to open sharply higher again on Friday.

Regarding the Supreme Court decision on the USA health care law and the Euro summit agreements, please keep in mind our prior comments made for this period of time: “It doesn’t end there. I mean, there is more – three days and three aspects more. On June 27, Venus ends its retrograde period and returns to direct motion. Historically this has a 73% correlation to primary or greater cycles within 10 trading days. One would normally look forward to a Venus station as a time of love and agreement. But with Saturn also stationary within three days, it leans more towards disappointment and break down in agreements. One side feels manipulated, and it is hard to have love and agreement when both parties are not feeling it mutually. Of course with Jupiter square Neptune, both parties may not immediately be fully conscious of what they just agreed to. It sounded good in principle, but the “devil is in the details,” and then one party may realize later there was a “sleight of hand trick” inserted into the contract.”

Robert Wilkinson on the upcoming Mercury Retrograde

Robert Wilkinson is an astrologer with a terrific blog Aquarius Papers.  He has a really sharp pov and I like a lot of what he writes.  I thought I would share a little bit from his current post on the upcoming Mercury Retrograde.  Go to his link for the whole post.

Astrology in July and August 2012 - Will The Coming Mercury Retrograde in Leo Slow Things Down Like Venus and Saturn Did?

by Robert Wilkinson
Actually, the coming Mercury retrograde should prove to be a fairly productive time with many unique and favorable developments. What follows is why.
Now that Venus and Saturn are moving forward and the Jupiter square Neptune is finally leaving the stage, things should proceed with more precision and momentum than we've had in a while! It sure seemed like Venus retrograde slowed a lot down, as I explained in yesterday’s article.
Venus gave us a look at past and future developments as it danced back and forth between 8 and 24 Gemini. Now it’s moving across that span one more time. Now it’s moving forward, we’ll all be dealing with lessons connected to its stationary degree involving the stirring of unconscious factors that will repolarize our ego. Whether it’s a protest against privilege or just a catabolic meltdown will depend on our individual circumstances.

Saturn retrograde gives us yearly reviews of lessons we need to take a new look at. Now it resumes its trek through the end of Libra, so this is the time to apply what “philosophical completions” you’ve done since February. Still, it’s moving forward, so those affairs related to Saturn will as well.
Even though Mercury is slowing down, about to go RX at 13 Leo on July 14, 7:16 pm PDT, 3:16 am Greenwich on July 15, I suspect it will still be a fairly productive time given its relationship with both Venus, Mars, and Jupiter for most if not all of the RX period. Remember here that sextiles are productive, quintiles are specializing, and septiles indicate times when we are forced to make critical decisions.

Mercury is in tight sextile with Venus at the beginning of the period, retrogrades back.....

2012 Presidential Race

Lynn Hayes has put up a post regarding the Presidential election.  I had been looking for some video from the UAC (United Astrology Conference) that took place at the end of May in New Orleans.  I hadn't seen the line up discussions but assumed the November election would be a topic in one of the rooms.  And so it was..... you can find a link to the discussion on Lynn's post.

At the recent United Astrology Conference (to which I was invited to speak, but was unable to attend due to family health emergencies), a panel of esteemed astrologers discussed their predictions regarding the outcome of the 2012 presidential elections.
You can watch the entire presentation here and here (thanks Chris Brennan for the links). I was interested to see what techniques these astrologers used. Most of the astrologers on the panel represent one of the more traditional branches of astrology, with Gary Christian practicing Uranian astrology which is a sort of fringe element of astrology that goes back to the early 20th century.

On the subject of Venus & Saturn turning direct

I was poking around on some of my favorite astro sites and I stopped by ElsaElsa who put up a pithy piece just in time for Venus & Saturn direct.   This week, Venus who had been retro for six weeks in the sign Gemini finally turned direct  and Saturnn who has been retrograde for five months in Libra also turned direct.   Venus of course rules love,  Libra rules relationships,  Saturn rules structures and Gemini rules our mind.   For those people who have been miguided in their relationships the change of direction this week could shake out a lot of bad habits.

And in that context I think Elsa's piece on unrequited love (Wanting Someone Who Doesn't Want You) could now be the perfect advice for some to pursue.

Levitating Mass -How Perfect for Uranus/Pluto

Earlier this year I indicated that my personal Sun/Saturn conjunction was intrigued by the latest art exhibit for Los Angeles Country Museum of Art.   And when it arrived I put up another little update.    Well, yesterday the exhibit opened up.     And as my friend said, "How perfect for the Uranus Square Pluto."

She is right, even the name itself feels so uranus-y/pluto-y.   "Levitating Mass"

When you look at that photo you can just feel:
Syria
The Euro Crisis
Congressional Stalemate
Iran versus the world
North Korea versus the world
China's economy weakening
Recession in the US

It is all there for us to see as plain as the rock over our head.

Ray Merriman RE: This Week

Given all the tension this week with these big ass aspects I thought I would go poke over at Ray Merriman (Financial Astrologer) website and see what he has got to say.   It turns out he is in Amsterdam hosting a workshop this weekend.  His weekly column was shorter and he encouraged readers to go back a week to read his memo.

I was not surprised by any of it and I don't think you will be as well.

From this LINK.

It will be a challenge to describe all of the possibilities that could happen June 23-29, and even a week or two before and after, for planetary patterns of this type don’t often complete their correspondence to human activity until well after the cosmic event. This time band begins with a gentle Sun-Neptune trine aspect on Saturday, June 23. This aspect has actually a rather strong correlation to reversals in stock prices within 10 trading days. But its symbolism is very modest in comparison to what happens the next day, June 24, when the first passage of the Uranus-Pluto waxing square unfolds. This column has been describing the explosive quality of this combination for the past several months, even years. There is nothing in astrology that even remotely conveys the possibility of social unrest and political upheaval in the world as Uranus and Pluto in a hard aspect. The last time they were in a hard aspect (conjunction) to one another was in 1965-1966. The time before that was 1931-1934 (waning square). As stated, this is only the first passage this time around. Due to their retrograde motions, they will make seven passes in all, lasting through March 17, 2015. It would be unusual to see something explosive break out next week on just the first passage, but due to the other powerful geocosmic signatures in effect June 23-29, it is certainly possible.

The following day – Monday, June 25 - Jupiter will form a waxing square to Neptune and Saturn will turn direct. Both of these are Level 1 geocosmic signatures, which means they have very high (70% or greater) correlations to primary or greater cycles in stock markets within 9 and 11 trading days respectively. These are two contradictory principles, which make the interpretation of this period so challenging. Jupiter-Neptune is oftentimes “irrationally exuberant,” while Saturn stationary is usually “irrationally pessimistic” or worried. When they occur together, “irrational exuberance” could morph into hysteria and loss of control. With Uranus present in its square to Pluto, the danger is a “panic” if cool heads don’t prevail.

It doesn’t end there. It sounded good in principle, but the “devil is in the details,” and then one party may realize later there was a “sleight of hand trick” inserted into the contract.

But it doesn’t end there either. It ends (temporarily) on or around June 29, when the transiting Sun hits the Uranus-Pluto square, forming a cardinal T-square. That is, the Sun will square Uranus and be in opposition to Pluto on that Friday. This is known as a “translation of the Sun” to the Uranus-Pluto square. And both of these aspects are also Level 1 signatures. The Sun-Uranus square is especially powerful, with an 82% historical correlation to primary or greater reversals in stock indices within 11 trading days.

The whole combination of these celestial phenomena suggests that within two weeks of June 26, there will be “a whole of shaking going on.” The Earth may move, and so may many financial markets and the security of many political leaders’ position. At its worst, this is a highly deceptive and untrustworthy time between people (like political leaders), because one side is intentionally misleading the other. At its best, it is a time when deceptive practices are revealed, and the truth comes out, resulting in a revelation from which powerful and constructive changes may now begin to transpire. This can also be a period of further credit downgrades of major companies and nations. On the one hand, these are exciting times when innovative new ideas are brought to the fore. On the other hand, these are dangerous times when trust is at a premium. Do you really know that person who "has your back?"

Adam Carolla

A very smart, clever and VERY funny comedy writer girlfriend of mine called me yesterday and said, "Are you following Adam effin' Carolla and his big fat ass opinions?"

I said, "No, I'm pretty busy I don't keep up with Adam effin' Carolla."

And so she gave me the update.   Here's the pertinent information:

The lesson you learned from a sexual harassment seminar was “Don’t hire chicks.” Do you hate working with women?

No. But they make you hire a certain number of chicks, and they’re always the least funny on the writing staff. The reason why you know more funny dudes than funny chicks is that dudes are funnier than chicks. If my daughter has a mediocre sense of humor, I’m just gonna tell her, “Be a staff writer for a sitcom. Because they’ll have to hire you, they can’t really fire you, and you don’t have to produce that much. It’ll be awesome.”
The “are women funny” debate has grown very contentious. You’re not worried about reactions to this?
I don’t care. When you’re picking a basketball team, you’ll take the brother over the guy with the yarmulke. Why? Because you’re playing the odds. When it comes to comedy, of course there’s Sarah Silverman, Tina Fey, Kathy Griffin — super-funny chicks. But if you’re playing the odds? No.
If Joy Behar or Sherri Shepherd was a dude, they’d be off TV. They’re not funny enough for dudes. What if Roseanne Barr was a dude? Think we’d know who she was? Honestly.

Well, let's forget that I am a woman and I spent a great deal of my adult life writing jokes for a living as well as several of my very funny girlfriends.  So, let's put all that aside and talk about Adam's chart.

His Sun is in mouthy Gemini which when it is unprocessed is shallow and reactionary.  We don't know his time of birth but his moon is most likely in late Sagittarius, again, mouthy and opinionated.   I can tell you that as signs go, Sag is funny and Gemini can be very funny.   Although like everything it is most important to know your audience and with Adam he clearly knows his audience.   I was stunned to hear that his podcasts are downloaded by hundreds of thousands of his fans since I thought in order to download stuff you needed opposable thumbs.

Obviously he was born on a full moon given the sun moon opposition and I thought this quote was very telling and spoke to that opposition:

I play with my kids [six-year-old twins Natalia and Santino] in the pool, I hug them, I dance with them. That’s not how my family is. I had two shows on basic cable for years, and my mom, at a birthday dinner, said to everyone at the table, “Can anyone give me one good reason why I should get cable?” She wasn’t trying to be a bad parent. She meant it.

Perhaps Adam's opinion that women aren't funny started with the first woman of note and has been down hill ever since.

And speaking of Roseanne Barr.  If Roseanne was a man he would have had a been hired on The Man Show, been given his own sitcom and hired a bunch of writers and none of them would have been Adam Carolla because he would have said, "That d'bag I wouldn't get cable for him".

Onward.

The Week Ahead !

We have a big ass week in front of us.

We have discussed tomorrow's Uranus/Pluto Square quite a bit.  Although the first hit is centered tomorrow and the pressure has been mounting, the truth is that it is not all about June 24th.   We don't wake up June 25th and wash our hands and say, "Phew, glad that day is over, get me some margaritas."   Nope.  It is more like we are in a washing machine and god pushes the SPIN button on the 24th.   We will be spinning for quite some time (2015) but certainly we should expect this summer to be quite intense as we process the months between hit one in June and hit two in September.      And coming in just in time (because the Universe  has a wicked sense of humor) will be the Supreme court Justices ruling on Health Care Mandate scheduled for this week.

And then there is Saturn turning direct on Monday 6/25 and Venus turning direct on 6/27. I discussed this in my new moon article:

Saturn & Venus turn direct

On June 25 Saturn will finally end its retrograde in Libra which has been going on for the last five months.   God, how have those relationships been treating you?  And sure when we think of ‘relationships’ we think of husband/wife/boyfriend/girlfriend BUT that is not all relationships.  How about your relationship with your co-worker?  Your friends?  Your boss?  Your family?  Your son’s teacher?   Remember it is about the ‘relationship’ not the players.   That hard to describe energy that exists between two people.  That is a relationship.   And it is has been up for re-evaluation.  Some of you have looked at your relationship with your friends and seen them as strong and authentic and your relationship with your spouse as weak; others have seen the relationship with intimate partners as strong and those relationships with the outside world weak.   Whatever has been processed in the last five months will be ready for prime time after Saturn turns direct and flies right.   We will be clarifying our roles in our relationships with new enthusiasm after June 25.    Then on June 27 Venus stations direct.    Venus has been in Gemini since April 3 and will eventually move into Cancer on August 7th.   That is a whole lotta Gemini energy surrounding our values, things we love, our money and resources.    Gemini is of course more mental than emotional.  We have analyzed our relationships in a lot of detail but it has not been an emotional time.   Perhaps we needed to be mental about relationships so our feelings don’t cloud the important information.  What has Venus been telling us since April?

And on Friday the 29th we will feel a super cranked up energy.

On June 29th the Sun will be opposed Pluto and will Square Uranus.   This is a powerful day that comes up once a year.   Pluto will feel challenged by the Sun as family feels pitted against the greater world.   Who has to work when they really feel they need to be home?  Who needs to break out of the hiding place that is home and step up in a more public way for the world to see?   Uranus will want to rebel.  Lightening will be looking for a place to strike.  No doubt there will be global events that will get our attention.     Luckily on the same day there is a nice aspect between Mercury and Jupiter which should help bring in diplomacy and smooth communication.

Looking at that Menu of events you can see why I put up the bumpy road photo.

We do also have some other aspects worth mentioning.

6/23:  Sun/Neptune: Inspired, creative, gentle humanitarian energy.
6/25: Jupiter/Neptune: Opinions rub up against beliefs and spirituality.  Beware of the loud and the delusional.
6/25: Mercury enters Leo  http://astrology.about.com/od/mercury/p/MercuryLeo.htm

Uranus Pluto Square Round One

The tension is great.

I have been so busy wrapping up my son's school year that I have not been able to post as much as I have wanted for the last month.  But let me tell you even though I was piled in paperwork doing all my volunteer work, I still had an eye on weird events in the news, (Seriously, flesh eating zombie attacts?)    And as we are down to the last few days before the first square between Uranus and Pluto, clearly the news speaks to that planetary tension.

As I have mentioned many times over the last couple years, we are in a planetary pattern now that last took place in the 1930's.   You remember that decade, the great depression, the rise of fascists, loud dictators and the guy with the weird mustache in Germany.   Yeah, a pretty effed up decade by all accounts.       And now it is our turn to take a ride with Uranus and Pluto.

On Sunday (USA time) June 24th 5:12am (EDT) Uranus will square Pluto.    This is the 1st of 7 times these two will tangle up between now and 2015.
#1 June 24, 2012
#2 September 19, 2012
#3 May 21, 2013
#4 November 1, 2013
#5 April 21, 2014
#6 December 15, 2014
#7 March 17, 2015

Now if you want a little astrology lesson from real life, last summer, Uranus and Pluto ALMOST squared each other.  For most of the summer they were within ONE degree of being exact.   And during that time there was complete gridlock in senate and congress when representatives were not going to vote to raise the debt ceiling.    The result of that debate was that the United States credit was downgraded.

So, how surprised was I when I saw a blurb on the NYT before I went to bed last night that Moody's has cut the ratings of 15 banks-?  NOT surprised is the correct answer.  Yep, Uranus Square Pluto strikes again.     I think we should prepare for a rough Friday and Monday as the world responds to Sunday's square.

Moody’s Cuts Credit Ratings of 15 Big Banks

10:33 p.m. |Update
Already grappling with weak profits and global economic turmoil, 15 major banks were hit with credit downgrades on Thursday that could do more damage to their bottom lines and further unsettle equity markets.
The credit agency, Moody’s Investors Service, which warned banks in February that a downgrade was possible, cut the credit scores of banks to new lows to reflect new risks that the industry has encountered since the financial crisis.
“The risks of this industry became apparent in the financial crisis,” said Robert Young, a managing director at Moody’s. “These new ratings capture those risks.”

Additionally,   This whole ride with Uranus began to take shape when it turned direct in December of 2010 and began to head for Aries.  Almost like clock work the bell was rung and North Africa responded.  The swell of uprisings in the Arab nations was broadcast on cell phones across the globe.  Social Upheavals by social networks, if that doesn't spell Uranus, I don't know what does.   How curious now we are a year and a half later when Uranus makes his first hard aspect since entering Aries we revisit Egypt with their first election since ousting Mubarak back during the Arab uprising.
This is where we stand today, two days before the square.

The military statement comes as tens of thousands rallied in Cairo's Tahrir Square to support the Brotherhood's candidate for president, Mohammed Morsi. The protesters also denounced what they call the military's power grab that strips the next leader of much of his authority.
The generals last week issued a constitutional declaration that gave them sweeping powers, which undermine the authority of the newly elected president. International condemnation of the document followed and questioned the timing of the declaration.
The Brotherhood declared Morsi the winner hours after polls closed this weekend. Its claim was contested by Morsi's rival, Ahmed Shafiq, who was Hosni Mubarak' s last prime minister.

And by the way, Mubarak suffered a stroke earlier this week and has been reported as brain dead.  Pluto is all about death and rebirth.

And it goes without saying the tension this week between Obama and Putin at the G20 summit was palpable for anyone with eyes.  Clearly the cold war is a live and well in Cabo San Lucas or at least at the press conference between Putin and Obama on the subject of Syria.    Russians are taking a blind eye to Assad and his henchmen killing innocent children and women and everyone else.   Why?

Putin, a former KGB spymaster, is suspicious of US motives especially after the NATO-assisted ouster of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi last year, and he has offered little sign of softening his stance on Syria.

Though Washington has shown no appetite for a new Libya-style intervention, Russia is reluctant to abandon its Syrian ally, a longtime arms customer, and risk losing its last firm foothold in the Middle East, including access to a warm-water navy base.

Can you feel the tension with Pluto?

Clearly, it is going to be a long hot summer as we grind through these first two squares.  Sigh.

Solstice June 20 2012

Solstice
Around 7:09pm EDT The Sun will be somewhere over the Pacific Ocean gently moving into the sign Cancer marking the beginning of Summer.   Of course for our friends in the Southern Hemisphere the Winter Solstice commences.   The longest day of sunlight will be celebrated in beaches, pools and blenders all over North America while the shortest day will no doubt be punctuated with hot toddies in New Zealand.

As much joy that summer brings to me personally, I have to say my soul responds more to the winter solstice probably because in the dark of the season, I am excited to know the days will be growing longer again.      But now I will get out the sunscreen and begin slathering.  I wish all of you up here with me in the nothern hemisphere a Happy Summer and to you down south a loving winter.

Here is a nice link to Lynn Hayes write up on the solstice.

Chart for the Summer Solstice, 2012

by Lynn Hayes
image by Visual Alchemy. The Summer Solstice (northern hemisphere) occurs in the tropical zodiac at the exact moment when the Sun enters the sign of Cancer. This coincides with the longest day of the year and the most fertile season in agrarian cultures in the northern hemisphere. (Of course for my Aussie and Kiwi friends as well as those in southern Africa the seasons are reversed and the Summer Solstice occurs in December with the entry of the Sun into Capricorn. If you’re curious about astrology in the southern hemisphere, check out this article.)

Gemini New Moon
June 19 11:02 am EDT

Today we begin our second new moon in Gemini.  Occassionally this will happen where one moon is so early in a degree of a sign that the very next month we get another new moon in the same sign.

I think it has been an interesting period.   Cool, unemotional, detached but still thought provoking and insightful.  Now we get another 28 day wave of cool thinking.  Our brains will be on overload but we can handle it.   Stay light on your feet and you'll be okay.

As always you will find my whole article on MargaretWendt website but here is a snippet.  Go to LINK for full article.

GEMINI NEW MOON

New Moon Phase

June 19, 11:02am

28 Gemini 43

Recap of last Gemini Moon

Twenty eight days ago we had a Gemini New Moon at Zero Gemini and now here we are at 29 degrees and we get another Gemini New Moon!    It is strange to be at the final degree of a sign with a new moon, after all a new moon speaks to new beginnings and new opportunities and the 29th degree speaks to wrapping up Gemini’s business.  What does this mean?  Simply said, for the last month we have gotten our butts kicked with issues pertaining to communication, siblings, and neighbors and of course the written word.  It was an overwhelming process as data was coming in from all corners.   How many times did your brain feel like it was short circuiting?   Did you get clarity on any issues?  Did you clarify stuff for others?  Do you feel like you are on the other side of some hurdles?   If not, then here is the good news, you get another Gemini new moon to elevate your communication skills and get your head screwed on right.

Round Two

This cycle like the other Gemini New moon, puts the accent on what we say, why we say it and how we say it.   It is cycle where information will come to us in ways we could not have predicted.   We could be driving down the street thinking about something someone said to us years ago and have a whole new insight about it.  Our brains will be electrified.    And if there are lies being said (Gemini is dualistic) then what does our gut say ‘is the truth’?   If we are smart we will have ‘gut checks’ all month.    One thing different from the last month’s Gemini Moon is that this one will have a bit more wisdom (whether we know it or not) due to Saturn and Neptune who are both in trine to Sun & Moon.   Saturn speaks to us finding real concrete support and Neptune gives us hope.    With the Saturn influence we are strategic, we are conservative and we don’t have the luxury to waste our time or brain on thoughts that do not serve our lives or our future.    With Neptune in a supportive position bumps in our thinking could simply dissolve.   Do you ever wonder how small thoughts could keep you from your good?   This month Neptune could melt some that thinking.   We also will be inspired in new ways.    Of course, Gemini is changeable (we don’t call it mutable for nothing) and like the last new moon we should be ready to make changes at a drop of a hat.  We wake up in the morning prepared to do A and B but right away we realize we have to ditch A& B and instead prepare to do to Y and Z.     The next 28 days will be filled with us pivoting.   For those of us who find flexibility a difficult trait you would be wised to take deep breaths and then shift.  It will open you up to a world of change and plenty of good.

Mars Squared
And if we are confused where we need to shift this cycle then we will have Mars to point the way.   Mars is in a tense aspect with Sun/Moon so we should expect to see conflicts exactly in the areas that need new approaches.

This week is action packed

We start the week off with Last Quarter Moon plus a huge ol' move by Jupiter.  And when I say huge, I mean huge!

June 11 6:41am
Let's remind ourselves of the dynamic of the last quarter moon:
Last Quarter Moon Phase

Last Quarter moon: Now we do the final adjustments to the seeds we planted on new. The final call, the final letters to send, we follow all the trails that came up that still make sense. And we let the other parts lay fallow. It is a time of action but wise action. It is a time for living “The serenity prayer

God, grant me the Serenity
to accept the things
I cannot change Courage to change the
things I can, and the
Wisdom to know the difference.
Focus on: What actions are you taking that support your friends? What actions are they taking that support you? How would your resources benefit if you were with like minded individuals?

June 11: Jupiter enters Gemini

Back in May I wrote the following about Jupiter's move into Gemini:

There will definitely be technology booms during this transition. In July 2000 right at the beginning of the last Jupiter in Gemini the Prius hybrid was launched in the United States. Talk about novelty and big ideas. And in the fall of 2001 just after Jupiter left Gemini Apple launched its first ipod. Now knowing as much as we do about Steve Jobs and Apple mentality we can assume that all those Apple technicians were brainstorming and working like mad scientists for the 12 months prior to launch which means their brains were in overdrive during the entire Jupiter in Gemini in 2000/01. What will the folks at Apple be busy working on during this pass of Jupiter in Gemini? I predict their AppleTV will be born shortly after this period. And in fact, the whole silicon valley will be in overdrive. Who will have the new Facebook idea? Somewhere in the world it will begin to germinate. I expect a bunch of ideas o emerge between now and the middle of 2013.

How fitting this morning when I turned on CNBC and saw all the technogeeky reporters in San Francisco at Moscone Center where Apple was announcing their latest iphone, ipad and other advancements they have planned at their Global Technology meeting.    If I believed in coincidences I would say, "Wow that is ironic that it is happening right now when Jupiter is moving into Gemini."   But I don't believe in coincidences so this is one perfect move of divine action in my mind.   I anticipate a lot to come out of house that Steve built and all the other silicon valley people in the next year or so.

For those of us who are not techno what does Jupiter in Gemini mean?
So, let’s go over the details.   Jupiter is in a sign for about a year and the last time we experienced him in Gemini was between the summers of 2000 and July 2001.    You may want to recall what was going on with you during that time and consider your way of communicating and thinking.  Did it change?   How were you connecting with others? How were you connecting dots?  Did it make sense but later turn out to be incorrect?   Or were you trying different communication approaches?  And how about your brain, was it full of ideas and creativity?  Were your sparks going off?   And who were you bothering to talk to and who were you just skipping because they weren’t worth it.   I know that sounds awful but let’s face it some people just don’t get you and why on earth are you hanging out with them?   And if you are forced to be with people who don’t ‘get’ you then shift your approach.   If they don’t get you and they are never going to get you then who cares?   Say what you want or don’t say it.   Remember Mr. Descartes.

Later in the day on 6/11:
Mercury/Uranus : Chaotic thinking, disjointed communication, recklessness.
Mercury/Pluto: Challenging, browbeating, punitive thoughts.   Rough and tough.

Not only do we have Jupiter moving into Gemini on June 11th, we also have a super snarky aspect between Mercury and Pluto and Mercury and Uranus.    Tension will be high that day, there will be arguing.   Pluto wants transformation and Uranus wants revolution and Mercury cannot talk to either of them.    There will probably be arguing and fighting or there will be a stalemate or a cold war and it might be a harbinger of the Uranus/Pluto square at the end of June.   But whatever is the beef, we can take the move by Jupiter to help shift our focus.   Prepare for something to come up around this day that gets your attention and makes you pivot.   Remember, Gemini is the great pivoter.   Is that a word?   And once again we are asked to process, breathe, process, breath, process..breathe you get the drift.

And then on 6/13:
Sun/Saturn:  Great expectations with strong work ethic.  Accomplishments very possible.

On 6/15 the moon turns Balsamic and for three and half days we ----Release!

Balsamic Moon Phase
June 15 8:16am

Balsamic:   We let go.  By releasing we can prepare for the new.

Focus on
We release greed.  We release control.  We release hanging on.  We release stubbornness.   We release over the top romance.

This Week....Hold on to your hats!

We begin the week with our big ol' full moon in Sag (see previous post).   Is it getting cuckoo yet for you?  Information must be coming at you full volume, I know it is in my house!    What you do with the information says a lot about how you can pivot and maneuver in these somewhat turbulent days.   We all need to be adaptable and the full moon will certainly challenge us to pivot.

Also on Monday 6/4 Neptune begins his retrograde motion.  Neptune will station at 4 degrees of Pisces and go back all the way to 1 degree of Pisces on November 11 where it will straighten out.   Since Neptune spends half of the year in retrograde he is pretty comfortable with a reverse course and he uses the time to his advantage.  Like a deep sea diver with a flash light he goes deep into our unconscious brain and finds the curious and weird stuff.  The stuff we never thought about before and perhaps how it may or may not impact us.

On Tuesday 6/5 Venus and Mars get into a tussle and there will be sparks and fighting words will be hard to avoid especially among lovers, neighbors and siblings.    And of course we are finally at the event I have been talking about for several months---The Venus Occultation!

At the same time Venus will make her glorious transit in front of the Sun.  Check the news there will be some local astronomy club that will have their telescopes and the proper lens set up so you can see this majestic event.   We won't get it again for about 120 years!

A Rare Transit of Venus Across the Sun on June 5, 2012 Will Catapult Consciousness

Venus Transit on June 5-6, 2012A rare transit of planet Venus (it will pass between the Earth and the Sun) will occur on June 5-6, 2012, which will produce a powerful transmission of energy that will catapult human consciousness by enhancing perceptual awareness and unique states of creativity.
The transit of Venus “is among the rarest of astronomical events, rarer even than the return of Halley’s Comet every 76 years. Only six transits of Venus are known to have been observed by humans before: in 1639, 1761, 1769, 1874, 1882 and, most recently, in 2004…The beginning of the transit will be visible from all of North America, Greenland, extreme northern and western portions of South America, Hawaii, northern and eastern portions of Asia including Japan, New Guinea, northern and eastern portions of Australia, and New Zealand. The end will be visible over Alaska, all of Asia and Indonesia, Australia, Eastern Europe, the eastern third of Africa, and the island nation of Madagascar.” (Source: Scientific American, 12 Must-See Skywatching Events in 2012, January 2,2012)

Gentleness, creative, artistic and clever decent communications

Disseminating Moon Phase

June 7 2:22pm

Disseminating: Share information; find a teacher or someone who has more knowledge. Perhaps there was a big ol’ blow out on the full and one feels in need of support and help, this is the phase to reach out to one who knows more. This is when we find a rabbi or a minister or therapist who gives us more insight.   And of course, you too may be ready to teach and share your own information.

Focus on:      What information are you sharing with like minded others?   How are your friends supporting your knowledge?  Where are you brilliant and how are you sharing it with others?   What brilliance is being shared back to you?

Also on Thursday June 7

6/7:  Sun/Mars:  Big ass fighting.   Thinking is weird and people are doubling down on their cuckoo insecurity.

And finally on Friday 6/8: Mercury/Neptune aspect:  Inspired, hopeful, brains are seeking spirituality.

Full Moon

Sagittarius Full Moon – Lunar Eclipse

14 Sag 13

This full moon in Sag has an extra potency since it is also a lunar eclipse. The emphasis is brain and intellect versus beliefs and knowledge.    With the Gemini Sun our brains are switched ‘on’ and we see opportunities and possibilities everywhere.   At the same time the moon in Sagittarius is asking you to look at what you believe.  Does it match the opportunities you see in front of you?   If you see some great possibilities does your belief system hold you back from those possibilities?   For example, if you hear of an interesting job possibility but it is a different size, shape or color than you saw for yourself (belief) you would be wise to take a moment and think about it.    What is going on with your beliefs, how do they limit you?    Or how have you been schooled?   When you were young your family schooled you, then it was your education that schooled you, your friends, your community and your religion have all educated you.    Now on this eclipse you have a moment to see if that ‘education’ is still serving you?  In the current Gemini cycle we are light on our feet, we are deft because we need to pivot quickly.  We move to the right, left, up and down we are twisting and turning quickly for a reason.   We have to shake things up because things are shaking us up.   Read that twice.   Be adventurous, find a new truth, be alive and watch your opinions.  Some of them are spot on and some are misguided—but don’t worry someone will you set you straight, after all it is an eclipse!
