Mercury & Venus Station Direct: April 7 and April 12 --Phew!

 

April 7 & April 12.   Mercury & Venus.  

In a few days Mercury will turn direct having been retrograde since March 14.    Mercury is traversing Aries and Pisces which is driving our brains to think about going our own way, being a pioneer fighting the good fight (Aries) then to observing things that are tender, which make us go ‘ahh’ and also noticing stories that are unfair or sad reminding our brains that only by “the grace of god goes I” (Pisces).  

 

Mercury stations direct on April 7 and we will no doubt feel relief from any confusion and miscommunication which are the usual hurdles that come with retrograde.    While Mercury has been in Pisces our intuition could be strong and now with it direct, we have clarity around any intuitive hits.   Mercury will leave Pisces on April 15 and re-enter Aries and the brain will be back to considering how to be more independent and where to be ready for a battle or where and how to bring force.  Our intent will get juiced up.   On April 26, Mercury will leave the shadow ending the shadow that began at the end of   February.      

 

In addition to Mercury, it has also been a couple of topsy turvy months since Venus went into its shadow on January 28.   The energy spiked on Feb 3 when Venus entered Aries, and it got all the way to 10 degrees of Aries.   Then on March 1, it turned retrograde.   Since that time Venus has been churning up the energy in Aries and Pisces which it re-entered on March 27.   When in Aries, Venus understands the power of anger and finds value in force, independence, bringing energy and going to battle.   In Pisces Venus finds her tender.  Venus notes the soft and the gentle.   People doing something kind has meaning in the Venus in Pisces heart.   There is also a connection to sadness and ennui of friends, family and the world.  Venus finds the humans in humanitarian stories.   In my own case, just as Venus was heading to conjunct the North Node earlier this week, I had a conversation with friends who are seeking social security and what has happened to them in the landscape of the current administration has been breathtaking.   For people who were born between 1955 and 1963 many have been waiting to retire in the year 2025 for a long time and now are being told they will have to continue to wait because there is no one to process their forms.    My friends who retired last year filed and one month later they got their first check.   Now these friends who delayed retirement are being told they should expect a 4 month wait and of course they wonder if the money will even be there and for how long.    Venus is values.  Values include art, beauty, love, heart stuff and money.   Today’s USA tariff trade war launch looks troublesome .  More to be revealed on that front, for sure.    

 

On April 12, Venus stations direct and we will begin to process our values and what we have learned since January 28.  Some of our learning may include themes we have experienced in the spring of 2017, 2009, 2001, 1993, 1985 and 1977.   Are you revisiting anything?   After April 30, things may get heated, and we act on stuff when Venus returns to warrior Aries.  She will revisit the stuff we all may have wanted to act upon but were not ready to do before the retrograde.   Now the energy could such, especially on matters we feel in our hearts that it is time to ‘do something’.    On May 15, Venus clears her shadow and then we finally get a fresh Venus in new territory. 

 

Between now and the time Mercury and Venus exit their shadow, there will be several aspects with inner and outer planets.  Feelings could be strong.  Give yourself permission to feel whatever you feel.   You may want to note any period in this cycle that feels rough or extra good and see if it aligns with these aspects:

While we have all the strum and drang of the outer planets and zero Aries, we also have a perk.   Slow moving Saturn and Uranus have been heading to a sextile for a while and finally their first contact occurs on April 4.   If anyone has a planet at 24/25 degrees of Taurus or Pisces this is a nice opportunity for changes that bring fresh new support.   Saturn is always looking for practicality and sustainability.    It invests in anything long term.   Uranus likes new, it is innovation.  When these two planets come together in a harmonious aspect, we can expect a period of respect between that which is old and that which is modern.   They are finding common ground.     There will be three exact hits with the first and the third sextiles in Pisces and Taurus and the second one in the summer will be in the signs Aries and Gemini.   The Saturn Pisces Uranus Taurus sexiles brings practicality to the unworldly matters.  Perhaps it is spirituality, faith, our woo-woo side that we can’t quite put a finger on, but it is something we feel.   Uranus in Taurus provides a ‘solution’ to what we are feeling.   Young and old find a space to support each other.    With the sextile in the summer the emphasis is on innovative support that strengthens independence and self-agency.    We will take the Saturn sextile Uranus as perk and the world will need it, no doubt.   

 

One important note, this Uranus/Saturn perk is also an entrée to the big perks we will have later this summer.  Between August 21 and September 15 Uranus is at 1 degree Gemini and Neptune is 1 degree Aries and Pluto 1 degree Aquarius.  For 26 days these planets are in harmonious trine & sextile which will be our astro landscape off and on for the next four/five years.   These planets providing these beautiful aspects in these signs has by all reports never happened in history until now.    Another fact to this extraordinary era that we are in.
