Saturn Sextile Pluto - March 28

Saturn sextile Uranus Jan 19, 2026 (27 TA) two out of two

Saturn conjunction Neptune Feb 20, 2026 (0 AR) one out of one

Saturn sextile Pluto March 28, 2026 (5 AR) one out of one

Uranus sextile Neptune July 15, 2026 (4 AR) two out of three

Uranus Trine Pluto July 17, 2026 (4 AQ) one out of four

Neptune sextile Pluto July 24, 2026 (4 AQ) one out of four

Uranus Trine Pluto Nov 29, 2026 (3 AQ) two out of four

As written in previous reports, the mid 2020s are packed with outer planet aspects. When Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto contact each other, the influence is not limited to a single day or week. These are generational planets, and their aspects align with the start of new eras.

It is helpful to think of these planets and their aspects like a cross-country road trip. If you were driving from Atlanta to Seattle, you would cross very different terrain and weather. The wet and humid Southeast shifts into the dry Great Plains. The land rises into plateaus and the Rocky Mountains, then gives way to desert and finally the lush Pacific Northwest. The change does not happen in one moment. The landscape transforms until at some point you step out of the car and it feels and looks different.

Outer planet aspects bring their own landscape changes. As you can see, we have many of them in 2026, which I have color coded. Two have completed (blac), one perfects this month (red), and several arrive in July before returning in November and continuing into 2027(green).

On March 28 Saturn takes center stage.  This is the first time Saturn and Pluto are working together since their 2020 conjunction.  Remember that year?

Saturn and Jupiter are the bridge planets because they connect the inner personal world to the wider society. Saturn builds structure and emphasizes responsibility and conservation. Earlier this year we experienced the Saturn Uranus aspect in January, and now Saturn forms a sextile with Pluto.

This is the first Saturn Pluto alignment since both planets entered new signs. It marks an early structural link between what is emerging and the need to define how it takes shape.

Saturn and Pluto do not connect this way very often. Looking back and focusing on the sextiles that occur when both planets have just entered new signs, a pattern of emerging structures begins to appear.

In the last hundred years, this aspect appears from 1931 to 1933 during the Great Depression, when economic systems broke down and new frameworks such as the New Deal and Social Security took shape. It returns from 1965 to 1967 as the Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act were passed while the Vietnam War and cultural upheaval intensified. It shows up again in 1996 to 1997 when the infrastructure of the internet became real, the early framework of the digital economy formed, and new communication systems began, including the early work of Larry Page and Sergey Brin that would become Google.

We are still getting to know the societal signature of Pluto in Aquarius. Pluto has not been in Aquarius for about 248 years, and we are only at five degrees of the sign, so this era is still in its early stage. In previous Pluto in Aquarius periods, there were advances in technology and revolutions where people gathered to change history. We are in the opening degrees, where the direction is not yet fully defined but the momentum is unmistakable. Hello, AI.

With Saturn now in Aries, the emphasis shifts toward initiation. It brings the fire of Aries into form and defines direction rather than maintaining existing structures.

A sextile is an opportunity aspect. With Saturn and Pluto working together, there are openings to build new structures that address deeper needs within society. Watch the news for developments that reflect Saturn’s need to build and take responsibility and Pluto’s call for transformation. Something that looks small at first may carry long term impact.

Back to our road trip. If you are wondering when we reach the Rocky Mountains and the terrain shifts into something more rugged, look to July. That is when the connections between Uranus and Neptune, Uranus and Pluto, and Neptune and Pluto come into focus. The landscape rises and the changes are harder to ignore. We will all feel the altitude and start to smell the pine.

This Is a Big Year to Set Direction—Join Me This Week and Let’s Get You There

We’re still in the Pisces New Moon phase right now—
a time for listening, reflecting, and noticing what’s coming up.   Great.

But just ahead of us in April is the Aries New Moon…
and that’s a very different kind of energy.

Next month matters.  Big time.

Not in a vague way, but in a directional way.
In terms of where you’re headed for the next twelve months.

It is IMPORTANT this year to make a Treasure Map.
I’m not saying that lightly.

I’ve been watching the astrology for a long time, and I haven’t seen an Aries New Moon with so many outer planets shifting at once.  Ever.   Let me repeat… EVER.

This is not a “make a cute vision board” year. This is a “set direction while things are moving” year.   I’ve seen this process work for decades and some years are louder.   This is one of them.  Maybe the loudest.

If you’ve been feeling stuck, off, or unsure what’s next, this is a moment to pay attention.

I’m teaching my Treasure Map workshop this week at PRS for the Aries New Moon.

Come if it calls to you.

Or send someone who might need it.

BTW, this isn’t about me filling a house, I just want as many people as possible making maps this year because the world needs more people living their goals and tapping authentic happiness.   I believe, authentic-ism is beginning to resonate with people.    The Map will help them visualize it.

Mercury Direct! March 20. Yay!

Mercury Direct

March 20, 2026

12:32 pm PDT (8 PI 29)

2/11:  Mercury shadow begins

2/25:  Mercury station Retrograde (22 Pisces33)

3/20:  Mercury station Direct (8 Pisces 29)

4/9:     Mercury shadow ends

On March 20 Mercury turns direct.  I see you looking up to the heavens saying, “Thank you”. I know I feel the same.

During this retrograde we experienced Mercury working through Pisces.  Which as we discussed favors intuition, imagination, compassion, and the unseen world. Mercury is the smarty-pants planet and almost always prefers logic and clear thinking, but in Pisces, Mercury must navigate fog, feelings, and impressions more than dot any I or cross any T.

Mercury retrograde can bring a kerfuffle or two which pushes us to slow down and reconsider how we communicate.  During these three weeks did you shift how you think about stuff?

Some may have noticed moments of doubt or fatigue. Questions such as “why bother” or “what is the point” may have surfaced. Pisces can sometimes pull us toward the role of martyr or toward emotional overwhelm. When Mercury turns direct, we may begin to understand what the retrograde was trying to show us. Information that was confusing may start to make sense. Decisions that felt premature a few weeks ago may now feel clearer.

The lesson of this retrograde may have been about strengthening our intuition while also sharpening our discernment. In a time when images, memes, videos, and stories circulate fast, we were reminded to question what we see and hear. Not everything that appears convincing is true. If you caught yourself pausing before believing or sharing something questionable, that was Mercury retrograde doing its work.

Mercury remains in its shadow until April 9, which means the territory we just traveled is still being reviewed. Think of the coming weeks as the time when the fog lifts and the landscape becomes visible again. What did you notice while you were moving slowly through it? What conversations or realizations deserve another look now that the mind is clearing?  If this retrograde helped you strengthen your intuition and your ability to question what is presented to you, then Mercury did its job well.

Pisces New Moon: March 18

March 18, 2026

6:23 PM (PDT)

28 PI 27

Pisces is the final water sign and final New Moon of the zodiac.

During this Pisces lunar month we may notice the cobwebs left behind by the last eleven moons. A lot has passed since last spring. When we get quiet, we can listen. This New Moon isn’t cold or fiery—it’s steamy, thanks to Neptune and Saturn nearby in the fire sign of Aries.

What might that steam open up for you?
Your heart? Your creativity? Your compassion?

Maybe all of it… including your intuition.

Coming Up! Treasure Map Workshop. March 26th at 7pm Los Angeles & Online

Creating a Treasure Map for the Aries New Moon

Every year the Aries New Moon marks the beginning of the zodiac year. Astrologically speaking, it is the moment when the sky says, “Okay… what are we doing next?”

The Aries new moon (only one per year) is when we create what is called a Treasure Map. Think vision board, but with a little more intention behind it and better timing.

People who make these maps often find that many of the images they choose end up unfolding in unexpected ways over the following year in their lives in a meaningful manner.

On March 26 I’ll be at the Philosophical Research Society talking about the Aries New Moon and guiding everyone through the process of creating their own Treasure Map. We’ll talk about why this new moon is used for goal setting and how to put together a map that actually reflects what you want to move toward this year.

You do not need to know astrology to attend. Many people who come to this workshop want a chance to pause, think about their goals, and create something that reminds them where they are headed.

You can attend in person at PRS in Los Angeles or online via Zoom, so even if you are not local you can still join us.

If you have been meaning to think about what you want next but have not quite gotten around to it yet, this is a pretty good opportunity.

By the end of the evening, you will walk away excited about the new year that has probably already begun talking to you.

If you would like to join us, reserve your spot here:

Jupiter Station Direct

March 10, 8:29pm PST

Aug 17 Jupiter entered shadow 15 Cancer 05

Nov 11 Jupiter station retrograde 25 Cancer 09

Mar 10 Jupiter station direct 15 Cancer 05

Jun 6   Jupiter exits shadow 25 Cancer 09

Jun 29 Jupiter enters Leo

Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system and whenever it goes into a sign it brings gravity.   Last June Jupiter entered Cancer.   Cancer is our nurturing, our childhood, family and our home. It is a productive time to improve our houses.   Cancer the crab survives because it has a hard protective shell.   When Jupiter is in Cancer, we are looking for fortification of our own hard shells.   We want to feel secure which for some people can be a home make over.  It is also a sentimental time, and we tap big emotions and childhood memories both good and not so good.

In mid-August Jupiter crossed into its shadow then on November 11 it stationed retrograde at 25 degrees of Cancer.   Since then, we have turned inward to process some of the opinions and beliefs (Jupiter’s two favorite words) on what our emotions do for us.  We may have made choices that upon reflection after Jupiter is direct feel too big.  Perhaps too emotional.   Or we may have been quiet due to some unresolved fears or childhood debris that now we think, ‘why didn’t I say something?’   We are working out the philosophical choices of our emotions.

In mundane astrology, the shadow side of Jupiter in Cancer is xenophobia and nationalism, (google Swiss quotas for fun).  This is especially true for the USA which has a Sun in Cancer.   The last polling on the immigration raids in the USA has suggested that those people who voted for large, scaled deportation are now questioning their choices.  Those people who did not vote for it are feeling very emotional.   During this Jupiter retrograde, between January 10th and January 14ththere were four intense aspects with Jupiter.  The world processed the killing of Renee Good (Jan 7) who was dropping her son off at school in Minneapolis and shot at point blank range by an ICE officer who then called her an effin’ bitch.   There were other stories of brutality by ICE on innocent people like USA citizen, Aliya Rahman an autistic woman with brain damage trying to get to a medical appointment thrown on the ground and held for no cause by ICE.   Then on January 17, Liam Ramos, a five-year-old boy in Minnesota was sent to an ICE facility in Texas.  His image in a knitted blue bunny cap speak volumes of retrograde Jupiter in Cancer.    The opinions around ICE raids started to spike and the support crumbled about how this was all being done.   Jupiter bringing additional opinions?   This week NHS Secretary Kristi Noem was brought before congress and was questioned about her leadership or lack of it.   Today (March 5) Noem was fired as NHS secretary and placed in a job that did not exist before today.   Today the Sun trine Jupiter.    Anyway, there is a lot to think about between now and June 6 when Jupiter leaves its shadow and then again on June 29 when it enters Leo.   By the way, that’s when things will get loud.

In the meantime, consider the house in your chart where you have Cancer and consider how the big gravitational pull of Jupiter is impacting it.

Virgo Full Moon: Lunar Eclipse March 3, 3:37am PST

Virgo Lunar Eclipse
Full Moon
March 3, 2026
3:37 am PST
12 Virgo 53

It is the start of a new year and the start of a new eclipse cycle, so we might all benefit from a quick eclipse refresher.

As discussed, the recent solar eclipse began the Aquarius/Leo series. Each eclipse series lasts about 18 to 24 months across opposing signs. The trick with eclipses is that when a new series begins, an old series is still being worked. In 2026, we are still processing the Pisces/Virgo eclipses even as Aquarius/Leo ramps up.

For ease of explanation, I color coded the eclipses between 2023 and 2027.

Orange — Taurus/Scorpio
Purple — Aries/Libra
Blue — Pisces/Virgo
Red — Aquarius/Leo
Green — Capricorn/Cancer

Apr 19, 2023 — Solar Eclipse 29 Aries
May 5, 2023 — Lunar Eclipse 5 Scorpio
Oct 14, 2023 — Solar Eclipse 21 Libra
Oct 28, 2023 — Lunar Eclipse 5 Taurus

Mar 24, 2024 — Lunar Eclipse 5 Libra
Apr 8, 2024 — Solar Eclipse 19 Aries
Sep 17, 2024 — Lunar Eclipse 26 Pisces
Oct 2, 2024 — Solar Eclipse 10 Libra

Mar 13, 2025 — Lunar Eclipse 24 Virgo
Mar 2025 — Solar Eclipse 9 Aries
Sep 7, 2025 — Lunar Eclipse 15 Pisces
Sep 21, 2025 — Solar Eclipse 29 Virgo

Feb 17, 2026 — Solar Eclipse 28 Aquarius
Mar 3, 2026 — Lunar Eclipse 13 Virgo
Aug 12, 2026 — Solar Eclipse 20 Leo
Aug 28, 2026 — Lunar Eclipse 5 Pisces

Feb 6, 2027 — Solar Eclipse 18 Aquarius
Feb 20, 2027 — Lunar Eclipse 2 Virgo
Jul 18, 2027 — Lunar Eclipse 26 Capricorn
Aug 2, 2027 — Solar Eclipse 10 Leo
Aug 17, 2027 — Lunar Eclipse 24 Aquarius

Do you see how the colors ping pong?

Are there years that felt more troublesome than others? Hand raises for 2024. Blech.

In any given year we are working two teams of signs with their lessons and themes. Some years a third set rolls in. That will happen in 2027 when Pisces/Virgo taps out and Capricorn/Cancer taps in.

This Virgo full moon eclipse which is a blood moon meaning it will look the color of rust if you happen to catch it in the sky.  This eclipse is part of the series that started September of 2024.   The Moon in Virgo wants to figure everything out. Dot every I. Cross every T. Check off the list. In an eclipse, the Sun and North Node in Pisces drag us toward something more mystical, dreamy, and less contained. Things melt. The first casualty is often our list, our plans, and our schedule.

Pisces/Virgo eclipses can feel like a mini-Mercury retrograde where things go sideways and emotions dip into sadness, heaviness, or ennui. Pisces can amplify loneliness. Virgo can amplify self-critique.

With mutable signs, the solution is not collapse. It is pivot.

This eclipse may show where your daily routines are no longer aligned with who you are now. Or where your habits are not supporting your larger goals. Virgo is talented at organization and duty but often loses sight of the bigger picture.

Virgo’s ruling planet is Mercury, and Mercury is retrograde. Yes, something important could go wrong. But consider setbacks as information. A fact-finding mission. For example, if loneliness surfaces, ask what’s underneath it. Virgo asks practical questions.

Is that exercise right for your body now?
Have you checked in with your doctor about meds or supplements?
What is happening with your diet?
Did you move but still drive to your old dry cleaner?
Are you saying yes to people or plans that no longer match who you are?
Is something in your daily rhythm out of sync?
Have you reviewed your goals lately?

There is some support in this eclipse. The Moon sextiles Jupiter and the Sun trines Jupiter, suggesting flow and perspective. Jupiter can help reframe a hurdle into a larger purpose.

Lastly, consider this.

If you could return to September 17, 2024, March 13, 2025, September 7, 2025, or September 21, 2025, what would you adjust? What would the present you tell the past you about details and faith? What small daily change would you make?

The good news is that you can make those changes now. By the time we reach the final Virgo lunar eclipse next winter, you could be in a very different place.

Astrology Landscape: Feb 24 - March 2

First Quarter Moon

February 24, 2026

4:27am

First quarter: We do more actions based on the information that we just received.  Or we feel our instincts guide us on something.  We pursue again. What hurdles have popped up involving the seeds you planted on new moon?    We make another call, or we see someone. We mail something.  We stir the pot again.  This can be a time when we realize that the goals, we planted on new need more action from us, perhaps actions that involve breaking away.   Are there people who say they have our best interest in heart but fear us growing away from them?  Maybe we need to get help from others not the usual suspects.  Some independence may need to be exerted.

Focus on:   What actions are you taking that benefit by clear communication?   How are you walking your talk?   How are your actions with groups of like-minded changing as you get fresh facts?   What updates need to be incorporated into actions?

Planetary Notes:

2/25:  Mercury retrograde (22 Pisces 33) (See separate post

2/27:  Sun conjunction North Node (8 PI) Oceans and seas can be in the news. Humanitarian causes are noted.   Kindness excels.

2/27: Mars square Uranus (27 TA) (See Separate post)

Gibbous Moon

February 27, 2026

2:34PM PST

Gibbous:

We refine our information.  We pick and choose, we discriminate, and we organize to be ‘Virgo’ like.  We sort through details.  Have we missed something?  How are we sifting through the information?  Go back and make sure something hasn’t been neglected.  Refine our actions.   How are we perfecting our goals?

Focus on:

How are you refining your emotions?  How do your emotions connect to your groups and friends?   How does all this need refining?  How do you sort through your feelings as you process friends and groups?

Planetary Notes:

2/27: Venus conjunction Mercury (22 PI) Conversation and thinking about the power of love.  Seek and find that what is mentally soothing.

3/2: Mars enters Pisces

Mercury Retrograde: Feb 25 - March 20

Mercury Retrograde

Feb 25, 2026
10:48pm PST
(22 Pisces 33)

2/11: Mercury shadow begins
2/25: Mercury stations Retrograde (22 Pisces 33)
3/20: Mercury stations Direct (8 Pisces 29)
4/9: Mercury shadow ends

All Mercury retrogrades in 2026 take place in emotional water signs. Mercury rules communication and thinking. It can be expressive but not emotional, even when discussing things that are sad, mad, or happy. Those emotions are filtered through the brain.

The last wall to wall Mercury retrograde in Pisces was March of 2019 between 16 and 29 degrees. If you remember what was happening in your life then, you may see similar themes surface during this cycle.

Mercury in Pisces brings fogginess, dreaminess, creativity, metaphysics, humanitarian concerns, art, and compassion. During a retrograde, those themes can take on a tone of martyrdom or struggle. Fears can rise and a sense of “wtf” or “why bother?” can surface. Periods of heaviness can permeate this transit.

There may be a mitigating factor. Pisces is ruled by Neptune, who has Saturn on its butt. Saturn is a disciplined worker and may be influencing Neptune as both deal with Aries. Saturn rules time and timing, and he may be telling Neptune, “Hey dude, there is no time for complaining during this Mercury retrograde. Ain’t no time for pity parties.”

During any Mercury retrograde we should double check everything before we hit SEND. Given this is Pisces. Given Neptune is getting jacked by Saturn. Given this is happening in an Aquarius lunar month that began with a solar eclipse. Double check anything sent or signed. Check any meme, news, or photo for accuracy before sharing. The AI factor is in play. False players who want to create chaos could be loud this retrograde. Use this time to fine tune intuition. If you uncover a lie or artificial video or image, take a victory lap for trusting your gut. In Aquarius, friends let friends know when they are being duped.

The gift of this retrograde is that the best way to navigate it is to slow down. The whole-body benefits when we slow down. Think about your ancestors a hundred years ago. Their lives were slower than our 24-hour days. It was not easier, but the stimulation they received in one day was far less than what we experience in 2026. We benefit when we unplug and take our time. Saturn, the timekeeper in Aries, pushes us to be measured even in fast moving situations. Slow the brain. Be conscious of what you are doing. This practice will benefit us long after the retrograde ends.
