Our fiery Aries lunar cycle

Our fiery first week of Aries New Moon.    Last Wednesday (4/10) was New Moon and the chart of the moon was quite intense moon with a lot of warrior energy which  I characterized as Viking.  There was also an explosive element to it with an especially tight aspect to Pluto.

The stock market and commodities certainly felt a Viking plunder this week.  Yikes. No kidding.    The bombings in Boston on Monday at the marathon of course speaks to warrior Mars and destructive Pluto.
Yesterday the senate defeated the gun background check bill which is over 80 percent favored by the American people.  Under other astrological aspect I might say, “Well, that’s that”.   But not with these aspects.   I think this is more of a fuse being lit.     Those who voted No fearful of the NRA may end up paying for it politically later.
And finally last night a large explosion in West Texas shook so strongly it registered 2.2 on the Richter scale.   The number of injured (160) and dead (15) is still growing.

It is my hope that when Mars moves into Taurus this weekend (April 20) things will slow down a bit but as we know the New Moon chart is cast for a 28 day cycle so we are not out of the woods until the next lunar cycle in May.

Have you been.....

...to Michael Lutin lately?

Here is his latest post.   As always none of us are surprised by how he hits things exactly on the astrological head.      You should put him on your drive by list and hit him often.    Tracy

Boston Explosions

No I am not putting up any photos.

It is too early to tell the who or why but we do know the what.  Two explosions went off at the end of the Boston Marathon today.   Several people were killed and scores injured.

As I indicated last week this 28 day Aries lunar cycle has a angry warrior energy in the mix.  Again we don't know the who or why but I think we can agree, it was an angry move setting off those bombs.

I have not drafted the chart.     But I do know that the Sun and Mars are in conjunction (exact) on Wednesday and certainly that is an explosive energy.  I had posted such.

I also thought of Sun/Moon semi square Neptune on the new moon chart where I wrote:

Neptune Semi Square Sun/Moon

I don’t know if I would normally mention this aspect but given all the warrior energy of Mars I didn’t want to neglect the spiritual hand of Neptune.   Neptune is an intuitive planet, he is the psychic planet, he is the planet that speaks to our higher side of love.   Not the love we have for our significant others or even our family, he speaks to the love of humanity.  The part of us that loves people we don’t even know.   When we see those families in Newtown Connecticut speak about their children, do we not want to hold them, hug them, cry with them? Why?   That is not Venus who loves OUR husband/wife children/friends.  That is personal.   It is Neptune that looks in our heart and sees our capacity to love is greater than loving just the people around us.

A semi square brings out friction and with Neptune we will see public examples where something is out of sync.   A person falls through the system.   A person is in the wrong place at the wrong time.   But out of it comes something new that will help others.   Personally, don’t be surprised if you end up in some weird place with some weird people and you just wonder, “How did I end up here?”  And my suggestion would be to go with it.  It might seem strange and weird and it could cause some friction but never lose sight that spirit is talking to us

I personally am looking very forward to Mars leaving Aries and entering Taurus on the 20th.   Holding my breath until then.

Ray Merriman

Well, today was certainly a dramatic day on Wall Street.  Especially concerning commodities.
Naturally I thought it would be good time to put up Ray Merriman's link and forecast for the week.  Certainly last week's Pluto reversal is in the mix.

Review and Preview

It always happens that way, doesn’t it? You go away for a week and the world of financial markets turns upside down. There are no breaks for those who don’t stay on top of things these days, not with Uranus racing to its third of seven passages of a square aspect to Pluto on May 20. Typical of Uranus, stock indices (in the USA) continued to soar to new all-time highs, while Gold and Silver fell abruptly to new multi-year lows. Typical of Pluto, the economies of more countries tend to teeter on the verge of bankruptcy. Not only Cyrus, but also Italy and China have now had their credit worthiness downgraded in the past month by Fitch’s rating service.

The big story for many traders and investors was the plunge in Gold and Silver last week, confirming the dominancy stage of the 4.25-year cycle in Gold and 4.34-year cycle in Silver. The prior week (April 4), Gold fell to 1540 and then embarked upon an encouraging $50 rally the next three days, topping at 1590 on Tuesday. Silver’s rally was just as impressive, from a low of 2657 on April 4 to 2802 on Tuesday, April 9. But by Friday, April 12, all of those gains and more were wiped out. Gold collapsed over $80.00 on Friday to close at 1478. Silver fell $1.76 on Friday, (176 in futures terms) ending the week at 2582. Both were new multi-year lows. This scenario was described in detail in our recent special report to subscribers of MMA Cycles, as well as daily and weekly subscribers and all students of last weekend’s launch of the MMTA (Merriman Market Timing Academy). The good news for those who are Gold Bugs is that this is still setting up for the trade of the year, maybe of the next two years, as also described in those reports, which will be reiterated again in the next MMA Cycles report of April 22-23. Also typical of Uranus and Pluto, this nosedive will be fast and furious, and the resultant recovery may be even faster and more furious once it starts.

Best Trades of the Week

Since our last column, the best trade initiated was in the Euro-Yen currency market. Two weeks ago our weekly report (and currency report) advised, “Position traders may buy on a decline back to weekly support with a stop-loss on a close below 118.86.” The support that week was 121.20-121.90. The low was 119.71. This week the Euro-Yen is way up to 131+, a huge gain of nearly 10 points. At $2500/full point on the futures exchange, that’s not too bad.  But an even better trade was the weekly report given for Gold traders, which advised, “Aggressive traders are long… Lets’ cover and reverse to the short side on a move to 1590-1610, with a stop-loss on a close above 1620.” The high was 1590.10. Thus, we made a modest profits on the longs from back at February’s low, and got short just before the huge sell-off on Friday.

Short-Term Geocosmics

Last week ended with Pluto turning retrograde on April 12. As discussed many times in this column, planetary stations will highlight the themes of that planet for the few days surrounding the turn. So once again, we will hear reports and witness arguments about raising taxes, credit downgrades, increasing debts and deficits. If lucky, we will also hear serious proposals for reforms in these very issues, and maybe even an entire overhaul of the tax code in some countries, like the USA. It is a given that taxes will be headlined next week in the USA, for personal income tax reporting is due on April 15. That might be one reason why stocks have surged so much over the past three months as well. Individuals have been contributing huge sums of money to their retirement accounts, and much of that is finding its way into equities, especially in the USA. That factor is taken off the table after next week.

Next week will also witness Mercury leaving Pisces for Aries (April 13), and Venus leaving Aries for Taurus (April 15). This could coincide with a shift in investor psychology, but that doesn’t seem negative for stocks. Venus, which rules things of value (like stocks), enters its ruling sign of Taurus. If anything, that’s probably more bullish.

This Week

How are you doing with your treasure maps?  Have you finished it?  Are you still mulling?  I'm not finished with mine.  I'm still snipping my images.  I have been doing it since new moon.  I hope to have it done by First quarter moon.   In the mean time I have been super busy (no surprise with Mars being such a viking on new moon) and I'm sure you have been busy as well.   Remember our responses to anything that comes up during this 28 day cycle speaks more to the tone of the year than actually what we are doing.

Pluto Retrograde

Today Pluto reversed course.   I spoke about Plutos retrograde in the New Moon report a few days ago.

Others have written about Pluto retrograde, including Ruby Slipper Astrology:

No matter how you experience this retrograde, its purpose will be this: to dig out any leftover pieces of the past that are preventing you from moving forward. The (Capricorn) area of your chart that Pluto has been moving through (since January 2008) is being physically altered. Capricorn is an Earth sign. It symbolizes structures and boundaries. Even though these changes will start on deep level, eventually they will take physical form. They may be showing already.
Think about this for a minute. What’s starting to show on the surface of your life? Cracks? A shift in power? A relocation? This is key, and it will help you to deal with this retrograde period (until September 20th.) Pluto’s changes will become obvious to everyone (at some point) so make sure you’re doing them right. The consequences of a poorly handled Pluto transit (ignoring or denying the transformations) can manifest as the ruins of your current structures, with nothing to replace them. Scorched earth, no new growth. Pluto destroys before it triggers rebirth, but you have to work with it to get to the rebirth part.  It goes on---go to LINK for the rest of the thoughtful piece.
Also Awakenings has a nice write up as well.

Pluto Retrograde: 12th April to 20th September 2013

by

Sarah Varcas

Pluto stations retrograde in the 12th degree of Capricorn. The Sabian Symbols link this degree to study of the natural world, in the face of which we are all mere beginners. When Pluto, planet of profound transformation often born out of destruction, lingers in this degree we are put on notice by the cosmos that we’re not the owners of this planet, but the inhabitants, along with all other life forms, known and unknown. We do not, therefore, have a divine right above and beyond everything else, to pursue our own pleasure and satisfaction regardless of all other considerations. And yet, as a race, we continue to do so, and with alarming intensity.
This retrograde passage of Pluto provides us all with an opportunity to pause in this pursuit, to take stock and consider the foot print that we leave on this planet as we go about our daily lives. Not only in terms of the physical demands we make upon our environment, but also in terms of the demands we make on the world around us, to meet our needs and fulfil our desires. Each moment that we expect life to be a certain way, to deliver up certain results in return for our efforts, to shape itself in such a way that our needs get met, we’re demanding that a universe more complex than we can possibly comprehend bends itself to our will and desire. And when you look at it like that you can’t help but think…. isn’t that a bit…well..narcissistic?!  Go to LINK for rest.

Get your Viking On -- It's Aries New Moon 2013

Wednesday April 10th  5:35am EDT

This Treasure Map Aries New Moon is hotter than hot.   I mean it is ass kicking hot and you would have to be dead at least 10 years to not feel it.     I put up the whole article HERE but let me tell you I anticipate a lot of action in the next 28 days.  We will all feel it and we will all see it.  There will be fights, god yes, there will be fights but remember any fighting you have with another person is really a fight with yourself.    Anything you are yelling is about you Hearing it.   Those changes you want have to start right now with you.

If you want to get a real sense of this cycle click on the Holst Link.  That is our theme for this cycle.

Anyway, here is a snippet from the article.  Go to link for whole thing.

This is a super duper, action-packed Aries New Moon.    The Sun, Moon, Mars & Venus are on top of each other.  And a few degrees off to the left is Uranus (also in Aries).   I don’t know if there are other words to describe this energy beyond--- “On your mark—go!”

TREASURE MAP

As most of you know on the Aries New Moon we build our treasure maps.   Seventeen years ago I made my first Treasure Map based on the work of astrologer Buzz Myers.   In 1996 on the Aries New Moon following Buzz’s direction, two friends and I got together and built our maps.  Since that time treasure maps have grown in popularity thanks to the www.  I only wish Buzz had lived long enough to see what he inspired.  In a nutshell we build a collage of images, drawings, quotes and words that reflect those things we want to accomplish in the new year.   Once we have built it we put the treasure map up where we can see it and where it will coax us along.    And yes, the new year did not begin in January it starts April 10th with Aries New Moon .  Build your treasure map you will be shocked by what you accomplish in the next twelve months.  For more on treasure maps go here--- http://tracyastrosalon.blogspot.com/2013/04/it-is-treasure-map-time-2013.html

Mars

Mars is the warrior.   And he is not a sleek, cool warrior who comes in with his pistol and gets a clean shot.  No.  You need to visualize another warrior.  Think of a sweaty, messy haired brute with a club in one hand and a sword in the other and he is running at full speed.  Think Viking.   That is our warrior this cycle. The reason why Mars is extra feisty in Aries is because it is his home sign.   Having Mars on the moon, sun and venus is going to give us the power and bravery to put it out there what we want this year and not hide in the crowd like a broken down character in a Dickens novel whimpering, “More, please.”      Good lord no.  Mars would torch down the dump before he would beg for food.    This is a fighting New Moon and a case could be made that it will a fighting year.   Perhaps getting the life that we want will take a little fight?  Dig in and find your inner Viking.

Pluto, Uranus and the power of Mars

As we have discussed in previous new moons, Uranus is squaring Pluto several times between now and 2015.   The last round we had was in the fall of 2012. We know that Uranus is the planet of change.  Not small changes, it is the planet of big revolutionary changes.   Pluto is also the planet of change but it is evolution versus Uranus revolution.  What is the difference?      Globally speaking, a perfect example is in front of all us.   ----- go to link for rest of article.
