Full Moon – Sagittarius

12: 43am PDT

20 Sag 39

Adjust The View

Two weeks after the launch of a new moon, the full phase arrives to give all of us a chiropractor adjustment.  If we have skewed too far into the sign during the lunar waxing, then the full brings in the opposite sign and  something will probably get our attention and the answer is for us to make an adjustment.

In the Gemini waxing moon; all the data we have collected since May 26 has been interesting.  The conversations, the last-minute updates, all our flip flopping has both informed us and kept us on our toes.   Great, that is how we learn to pivot, which is the gift of the Gemini lunar month.   But now on the Sag full moon, we need to step back and get some perspective.    How are we broadening out and creating a bigger point of view?  How can we pivot and shape a new opinion based on what we have experienced?    How are we finding some freedom?   Do our opinions help us?

Jupiter--- Big Feelings

This is a full moon with a lot of feelings which is curious because in general the Sag full moon is not usually a full moon about feelings.  But this year,  two days before the full moon, Jupiter (ruler of Sag) landed in emotional Cancer where it leans all the way into feelings.   All of them.  From big downers to big sugar high, to tenderness and to cozy.  Part of the drama is that Jupiter hit zero cancer and immediately began a tense relationship with Saturn and Neptune fresh in Aries.   All this freshness is juicing everything up.

Saturn questions the productivity of big emotions.  “Sure, it feels good but what does it yield?”   Then there is Neptune who can be very gullible while it paints a lovely picture around war and warriors and 'we gotta do this".   And again, Saturn says, “What does all that battling yield?”   Jupiter who likes to pontificate and is judgey is unfortunately the one being judged by Saturn and Neptune and he does not like it.  If we wake up in the morning during the full three day phase and want to be snappy – well, who the eff is anyone to tell us not be snappish?!?  If we wake up up crying who the eff is to tell us to not to cry?!?   Can you hear Jupiter in Cancer square Saturn in Aries?  Exercising may be important for us during this full moon.  We need a safe place to vent for sure, even a walk around the block will help get a new perspective.    We also need to allow the emotions to work their way through because with Cancer there is a new one about to roll in right after we process the current emotion.

It's all about the story

Mercury the great communicator is on top of big ol’ Jupiter.  So there is a lot to talking during this three-day full phase.   Sagittarius rules journalism so there is a lot to write about during these three days.    Both Jupiter and Sag are about freedom.  How are we thinking abour our freedom?    Who is writing about independence and self-agency and how do we tap it to inform our own opinions?  Have our opinions been refined in the last two weeks that impact long held philosophies?   Is that cracking sound some opinions that no longer help us?

Mercury who also in the same tussle with Saturn and Neptune may help us come to realize things aren’t so cut and dried.  In general, there is usually a story behind a story but during this full moon there is a story behind a story behind a story behind a story behind a story...you get the idea.

The nodes in Virgo (south) and Pisces (North) are in relationship with the full moon in Sag and Sun in Gemini.   Of the four signs only one is inclined to go for truth and that is Sag.  Truth is Sag’s meta.    The north node in Pisces is not inclined to prioritize truth but it does care about humanity.  It also cares about faith and spirituality.  In all this tension are we able to access faith? Can we educate self on the power of kindness?     Depending on the situation will determine how much truth you want to lay out.   Sure, when someone says, “How do I look?”  you could say, ‘crap’.    But perhaps you wait for a less volatile period to say it like it is.     Or not.  Maybe it is all about --FAFO.  Which is so Sag.   The only caveat, perhaps try kindness first.

If the tension is great this full moon and you feel stuck consider going for Sag’s greatest gift – find the humor.    Even dark humor is acceptable.

Questions  Where do you need to get a higher perspective?   Where do you need to step back and get philosophical?   How are you expanding your world?  How are you embracing things that are ‘foreign’?   Even if you don’t leave your town, where is your adventure?   Where do you need to bring some judgements?   How can you find the funny?
