Full Moon – Libra

Every lunar month, the full phase lands two weeks after the launch of the new moon.   Our intuition and cosmic inner space is gonged on the Pisces new moon and between the new and the full, our feelings and emotions and intuition have been prompting us along the way.   Now at the full moon in Libra, we look at how we relate to others and consider what our intuition is telling us about our relationships.

 

The ruler of the full moon chart is Venus in Taurus who is in a vice grip square with Pluto in Aquarius.  Oh, boy.  Let’s break that down.  

 

Venus in Taurus is stubborn.   It puts creature comforts including money, first.   It also is the values planet in the values sign.   Pluto speaks to depth, control and power.   If there is anything in our values that is outdated or ‘off’, Pluto will find it.   

Just to be clear, Venus like all the inner planets, has four aspects with Pluto each year.   A conjunction (Aquarius), an opening square (Taurus), an opposition (Leo) and a closing square (Scorpio).    The dates of these aspects can bring out tension around money, values, love, beauty.  Power control and concentrated wealth are Venus and Pluto.  But more to the point there is a reality check.   We understand, “To have BLANK I pay with BLANK.”    Fill in the blanks.  “I live _____ and it costs me _____.”  “I interact with ____ which means I must _____.”     During the aspect we may experience the costs and the value in some manner(s).   Just to be clear—cost is not limited to money.  Just sayin’.    

 

What makes this opening square between Venus and Pluto punchier is that this aspect could have happened anytime in Spring.   Okay.  Additionally, Venus is the ruling planet of Libra.  Okay.  And this aspect is exact on and the full moon phase of a sign it rules.   Bam!  This is a real punch to the full moon.    In general, Libra full moons are when we look at how we relate with others and what we bring to relationships and what others bring to us.   This is not limited to spouses or significant others.  This is all relationships.  

 

 Pisces New Moon already reminded us that there are things out there that we can’t see but we ‘know’.   So, what is that unseen thing out there when two humans are interacting?   How do we pivot and shift with each other to keep the relationship going?  Is your spouse having a mood and you must navigate around it?    Is that fair (Libra word)?   Or you are the one that is moody impacting others, is that fair?  On a regular Libra full moon this might be the usual partnership fodder where we must find balance.  But this full moon with the tension between Venus and Pluto…. Well, this is bringing steroids to the full moon.     

 

On the mundane level we may see some big buys or big moves in TechBroLand or there could be scandals.  Values clashing and society feeling a pinch.   Pluto is not exactly transparent but again we are working on finding our intuition and inner diving rod this lunar month so tap in when something makes you go “hmmm”
