Mars opposition Pluto

Yesterday I was with a group of astrologers, and we were discussing the upcoming Mars retrograde and the Mars opposition Pluto on November 3. There was some concern in the group. Sure. It's a big deal. Not going to disagree. Having said that, maybe I was feeling last night’s Moon in Cancer heading for its monthly conjunction with Mars, but I was compelled to bring up something that I do not hear a lot of astrologers discussing, which is the power of water. Cancer is a water sign. Capricorn is a mountain. Water can breakdown almost everything, including mountains. Consider the steep ravines of the Grand Canyon carved over millennia by a meandering river. Or unfortunately the real time images of Hurricane Helene after it dropped millions and millions of raindrops in mountain communities 300 miles away from a beach. Sigh.
Obviously, most of the time we will give the weight to Pluto when tackling any of its aspects with inner planets. But I dunno, Pluto at 29 Cap 46 makes me wonder if after 16 years of traveling through mighty Capricorn that this final aspect with Mars, if Pluto will be susceptible to the power of water? What if, the lesson we learn is the power of a Pluto death and rebirth? What if we learn the power is not in the leader but in what the people do with other people to form a group effort? We are transiting between Capricorn and Aquarius which I have written a lot about in the last two years.
Obviously, the conjunction has a potency given it is two days before the USA Presidential election. I wonder about the election and a possible massive turnout. A turn out that is being spiked and perhaps not being picked up by pundits or prognosticators. I say that with some personal perspective. I am very plugged into Grassroots groups.
I have gotten out 4000 post cards to swing states and swing districts this summer. That's just me. One of my friends has been getting out 5,000 cards a month for most of this year. My other friend and his group have registered over 3 million people in the last two years. I have friends who have flown to swing states. They are doing real work on the ground on the front porches, knocking on doors. Having real conversations with folks. Listening to what they have to say and what they want in their future. These conversations are important and there are a lot of them fueled in part by Jupiter in Gemini no doubt.
I wonder about that Mars in Cancer and Pluto in Cap and the last gasps of the USA Pluto Return; I wonder if the election will be a massive turn out. That would in many ways lean into the new landscape of Aquarius. People coming together.
It may bring a tough response by the other side...or not. As one who has had a lot of conversations. I am not sure what a response would be to a groundswell election. More to be revealed. I will say however, I am grateful that it is not a Mercury retrograde like the last couple of November elections. Thank Gawd for that fact. In the meantime, I will sit back like the rest of the world let Mars Oppose Pluto on November 3rd roll out and think about the new horizon on November 19 when Pluto moves into Aquarius for twenty years.
