Last Quarter Moon in 2019

Last Quarter Moon Phase
December  18, 2019
8:56pm

Last Quarter moon:  Now we do the final adjustments to the seeds we planted on new. The final call, the final letters to send, we follow all the trails that came up that still make sense.  And we let the other parts lay fallow. It is a time of action but wise action.  It is a time for living  “The serenity prayer”

God, grant me the Serenity
to accept the things
I cannot change Courage to change the
things I can, and the
Wisdom to know the difference.

Focus on:
What actions are you taking that address details?  How are addressing your diet?  Your calendar?   Are you doing things every day or every hour that are in sync with the spirit inside you?  What choices can you make that get you more in sync.

Special Focus:
12/19: Mercury square Neptune.  Communication fuzzy.  Avoid zealotry thinking.   Take a moment and reflect.  Go inward.
12/19: Venus enter Aquarius
12/21: Sun enters Capricorn – Winter Solstice

Gemini Full Moon

Gemini Full Moon
19 Gem 51

The Gemini Full moon teaches us all the benefit of a good pivot. We are in the middle of the Sag lunar cycle, full of our knowledge, our opinions, our facts, our judgments, our know-it-all-ness when god in his infinite wisdom sends up a fat Gemini Moon to mix – it – up.    Sag can get too high falutin’ and Gemini brings it down to the ground with a new fact, thought, or random comment that suddenly makes all knowingness of Sag not so knowing and Sag hates not being smart.  The answer, pivot.  We learn how to be adaptable with the Gemini Full moon.   Adaptability is critical for survival and evolution.  This is the moon where we surprise ourselves with our own flexibility.   Those who insist on a rigid point of view or practice will be challenged during the three-day Gemini full moon.    The question to ask for these three days is “What is that rigidity getting you?”

In this full moon chart the moon has a square with Neptune and wonky aspect (although small) with Venus, Saturn and Pluto.    Everything you hear will not be accurate.   Lying could be pronounced, since Neptune plays fast with facts.   But the gift of Neptune even in a harsh aspect like a square is that it does connect to our inner radar.   We may tune into something that tells us more than the words coming out of someone’s mouth or text.   We would all benefit by being quiet.   The quincunx aspect with Venus, Saturn and Pluto speak to our responsibilities (since they are in Capricorn).  Values (like love and money), discipline and power will benefit by our ability to make shifts.   Although, the phase is only three days long, our shift in thinking during this cycle could have long lasting effects.  Perhaps, it is a simple sending of a resume to a group you would never have considered before this full moon.  That switch in thinking (perfect Gemini) could open you up to something important (Saturn) that supports your evolution (Pluto).

Gemini full moon will have parties and events for sure.  Note: Don’t drink too much this year.   Not with Neptune.   And remember, if you can listen more than you talk, you may learn something that will help you in your evolution.    Finally, it is easy to marginalize Gemini Moon as light weight but one would be mistaken to take that attitude.   Being gentle on your feet and quick in your thinking and you will make the most of this full moon.   Which is a gift.

This Week In Astrology

This Week in Astrology  Dec 1- 7

We begin the week in Crescent phase.   We are learning about our business acumen, our place in the world and the insecurities inside us that once strengthened will make us more thoughtful leaders and members of society.

On Tuesday Dec 2 Jupiter moves into Capricorn where it will start its year journey.  We should feel this move right away.    You can read it here

On Dec 3 the moon shifts into First Quarter where our focus goes to matters of faith and spirit and religion.    How do our goals and ability to reach other people (who seem ‘outside’ our circle) benefit by a tune into spirit?  What does our inner mystic tells us to: Do, say, ask, listen and move on?   Be the bridge.

On Dec 8 we move into Gibbous where the emphasis is on practicality.  Airy fairy is not appealing we want concrete solutions and pathways to any issue or goal that comes up.  There is a challenging aspect between Sun and Neptune that reminds us something bigger than us humans is in charge.  If  we feel lost we get quiet and connect to our faith.

Crescent Moon Phase
Nov 29, 2019
10:24pm PST

Crescent:  We will receive information, we will research a bit more, perhaps get feedback on stuff that we planted on new.  Perhaps get some information that will help down the road on a seed we planted a while ago.  We can collect some data now.  Even if you think you are not getting information, stop, and re-look at everything. Who called you?  Even the silliest things, when they come up during Crescent are note worthy.  A parking ticket?  An argument with a spouse?  A refund check from the phone company?  All of it needs to be considered a message from the universe.  How can this information help you?

Focus on: What information are you learning about business?  What are you learning about economy?  What are you learning about government in terms of how it is organized?  Where is your part in all this information?

Special Focus
12/2: Jupiter enters Capricorn (below)

Special Focus:
12/08: Sun square Neptune.  Feeling ungrounded.  Feeling swept up.  What does your intuition tell you?  Where is your inner mystic?

Gibbous Moon

Jupiter in Capricorn

Dec 2, 2019
10:20am PST
Jupiter enters Capricorn

Here we go…… the last time Jupiter was in Capricorn was Dec 2007 until Jan 2009.   Hmm, what happened in that cycle?  What could it have been that caught everyone’s attention in a big Jupiter way?  Something that would have dealt with big business and government?  Hmm what on earth happened during that time?  Let me scratch my head.  Oh, yeah, it was the biggest crash of the US stock market, September 2008. Followed by a long drawn out recession not matched since the great Depression.  Yes, that thing.

Having said that Jupiter in Capricorn does not mean we will have a hit again, but it certainly suggests being prudent with investments is wise.   Capricorn is the most conservative sign in the zodiac.  Both politically and socially speaking.  Capricorn likes to conserve its energy, emotion, resources and time.    Capricorn likes to be measured.  It likes to wait.    Jupiter likes to be big, loud, bombastic and let everyone know, “I’m here.”   But more to the point, Capricorn speaks to businesses, economies, governments and communities running well and if they are not, expect some new big energy coming forward.  There will be leaders to emerge in this period, for sure.  But with Capricorn there is a danger of getting caught up in pretense.  Just because someone is rich and famous does not mean they have solid plan.    Watch if you are caught up in the competition of who has more?  Who is ‘better’?   Remember there is beauty and freedom in appreciating the quiet and the small.  See what comes up with you once Jupiter moves into Capricorn.  Don’t be surprise if you feel it right away.   We will be talking a lot about Jupiter in Capricorn in the next year.   In the meantime find your big 'conserv'ative side and run with it.
