Astrology of this Week: July 27 - July 30

Disseminating

July 27 , 2021

8:00am PDT

Disseminating: Share information; find a teacher or someone who has more knowledge. Perhaps there was a big ol’ blow out on the full and one feels in need of support and help, this is the phase to reach out to one who knows more. This is when we find a rabbi or a minister or therapist who gives us more insight.   And of course, you too may be ready to teach and share your own information.

Focus on:  How are sharing your faith?  How are you sharing your mysticism?  How are you sharing your deep humanitarianism?  How are you sharing your woo-woo?

Special focus:

7/27: Mercury enters Leo

7/28: Jupiter re-enters Aquarius (see separate post)

7/29: Venus square North Node.  Values that stoke pride on the grassroot, practical level need clear communication and clear thinking and perhaps some pivoting of thinking.

7/29: Mars oppose Jupiter.  Actions that come from strength and internal pride are challenged by group efforts and group thought.  Finding balance is challenging.

7/29: Mars enters Virgo

Aquarius Full Moon (#1) July 23 at 7:36pm PDT

Full Moon Phase –

1 Aquarius 26

July 23, 2021

7:36pm PDT

We will be experiencing two back-to-back full moons in the same sign.  The first moon is at 1 degree of Aquarius; the second full moon on August 22 is at 29 degrees of Aquarius.   While this is not rare (last double full moon was 2019 – Aries), it does speak to a repeating theme: How to lean into our uniqueness?  What sets you apart but also brings you together with others?   How do you use your uniqueness or even your “weirdness”?  How do you share it?   More important how do you take that unique voice and help others?   How do you connect with others?

Aquarius is the final air sign, so it is a more mental than emotional three-day phase. We have a more science-y approach to anything.   If there is a big bugaboo that you can’t quite find a solution, these Aquarius full moons are great to get input and creative solutions.  Solutions that are super practical but still are ingenus and hit that, “Why didn’t I think of that earlier?” button.   Even more to the point Aquarius full moons can reap the benefit of group thought.  Bringing in others and coming up with a solution.

The energy of the two Aquarius full moons is a bit different due to planetary aspects, the first one has a conjunction to Pluto and the second one has a conjunction with Jupiter.   This first full moon we eat our vegetables, next full moon we get some dessert.   But both ask us to find our unique (Aquarius) voice that is very personal (Sun in Leo) and bring it to anyone, any situation, any group that needs help, breakthroughs or solutions.

The chart for July 23 full moon has an out of sign Moon conjunction to Pluto in late Capricorn.   Pluto always ask that we release stuff that is not serving us no matter how much we think we need to hang on to it.   Fear wrapped up in ego to hold on to status quo is hallmark of Pluto in Capricorn.  On this full moon showing up for others that is sensible and practical is key.   But if we dip into the shadowy side of Capricorn, it will not feel right.  What are our motives?  Are we showing up because it is good for all?  Or is it a way to get some advantage later down the road?    Is it a way to make us feel better than others in some twisted up insecurity?  Or is an opportunity to bring good and move on letting the goodness help and perhaps inspire others to step up?

One keyway to check your inner compass, is if you note lack, jealousy or envy pop up during the three days.  The Leo Sun opposition Pluto/Moon can challenge us that whatever comes up that is icky is coming up for us to process, let go and heal.  For example, if there is a moment that comes up that feels like, “No one is ever there for me, I have to do everything alone.”    Okay.   Maybe that does feel true but then use this full moon to ask, who is your circle?  Is it time to branch out?  Are you telling yourself that you can’t reach out?   Or you can’t expand your world?   What is your tribe?  Some people may carry the legacy that only family is tribe.  Family can be great, for sure, but they also can be problematic because there are so many rules with family.  It also can lack uniqueness since family can be homogenized in thinking.   Aquarius breaks free of rules, it seeks fresh air.  We are not getting two full moons in Aquarius by accident, we are being asked to expand our circles on some level.   This moon (and the next one) are great times to step up for community or at the very least access the benefits of community.   Perhaps there is some civic resource that you need, and it is right at your fingertips, but you have not looked for it.  Maybe you need to ask people in your community or circles, and someone will give you an important key to something that could be so helpful.

One thing also worth noting about these back-to-back Aquarius full moons is that they are not alone in ringing the Aquarius bell.  Saturn is around ten degrees Aquarius and remains in Aquarius until March of 2023, so we are about midway in that journey.   Saturn is the planet of responsibility so wherever you have Aquarius in your chart you are feeling extra burdened or taking on more responsibilities.   If you do not know your chart you can draft one, for free HERE.   It is remarkable that the month Saturn the planet of hard work and usually lone journeys went into Aquarius, Covid 19 sent most of the world into their homes, isolated from others relying on technology (Aquarius) or community for help and connectedness.  The full moon can have stories in the news that speaks to Covid and how we need to continue to support others.

Then there is Jupiter who spent the beginning of 2021 in Aquarius until May when it dipped into Pisces.  On July 28 it returns to Aquarius.   In that environment of two major planets in Aquarius we have these two full moons in Aquarius.  Do you think the Universe is getting our attention?    There is so much tinkering going on in Aquarius that it is drafting all of us into this work.  It is not just elected officials or defined ‘leaders’ in communities it is all of us talking to one another, brainstorming, stepping up and offering support.   See what you learn this Full Moon and how it speaks to your unique gifts and how you can share them with others.   We will also talk about your specialness in two weeks at the Leo New Moon but between now and start to feel your uniqueness.

Jupiter Re-Enters Aquarius on July 28

Jupiter. Wikipedia. That red spot is a giant perpetual storm that is larger than Earth.

December 19, 2020, Jupiter enter Aquarius

May 13, 2021, Jupiter enters Pisces

June 20, 2021, Jupiter station retrograde 2 degrees Pisces 11

July 28, 2021, Jupiter re-enters Aquarius

October 17, 2021, Jupiter station direct 22 Aquarius 20

December 29, 2021, Jupiter returns to Pisces

Jupiter turned retrograde last month and on July 28 it returns to Aquarius.   The last time, Jupiter was in Aquarius was between December 2020 and May this year.   The time before that was January 2009 until January 2010.   There may be some themes from 09-10 that were repeated earlier this year.   In May, when Jupiter went into Pisces we moved into different topics.   Jupiter is huge, it attracts large themes, events and moments that educate us and inform our philosophy, our opinions, our big thinking.  It is not subtle.

In Aquarius, Jupiter had to share the energy with Saturn who is also in Aquarius.  Saturn can bring a depressing, “what’s the use?” attitude which really rubs Jupiter the wrong way.    Once Jupiter moved into Pisces in May, Jupiter felt liberated being out of the same sign with Saturn. Jupiter was more porous ready to absorb the information of Pisces.  Our inner mystic could have been up, we could have been leaning into our faith, we could have pulled away from things that were harsh for fear that it would take us too down or we could have seen despair and hit a wall.

When the biggest planet in our solar system returns to Aquarius, we take some of that Pisces philosophical juju and bring it to Aquarius through Jupiter.  In Aquarius we look for like-minded people, we bring big ideas, we construct with others.  We aren’t just do-gooders for the sake of doing good, we want to create new solutions, new ways that are sustainable (good side of Saturn) we also take a moment and remember, “Oh, I am a human and hey you are a human, too”.  Jupiter will be in Aquarius until December 29 but unlike the first part of this year when Jupiter was in Aquarius where he had to deal with sour Saturn, this time he returns with the knowledge of Pisces.  The power of faith, the power of mystical,  even if we went to despair, now in Aquarius Jupiter tells Saturn, “We can do what it takes with others on our side, let’s team up.”  Do not be surprised if you are pulled into social events that are meaningful and you bring something important or special and you are recognized for it.

The Astrology of this week July 17 - July 22.

First quarter moon speaks of taking actions that launch from the new moon.  The cancer new moon from ten days ago focuses on our emotions and feelings.  We dig down, now on first quarter moon and do actions based on those feelings/emotions.   No one is saying it is easy by the way.  Also on the 17th, Sun oppose Pluto pushes hard on being responsible and figuring out what to do with our emotions when we have to ‘step up.’   On the 20th, the waxing moon moves into gibbous, where we refine our information and our feelings.   In this case we refine via the Sagittarius moon and expand our world.  We look at our philosophies and judgements and see if they are in sync with our emotions.  On the 22nd, the Sun moves into Leo.  Leos will start to roar!

VENUS & MARS conjunction July 13.

Forbes JULY 8, 2021

…Venus and Mars in Leo form a conjunction on July 13.   The last time these two planets were in conjunction in Leo was August of 2015.   We may feel an echo off that summer during this cycle.   This conjunction is part of three, the next two Venus/Mars conjunctions will be Feb 16 at 17 Capricorn and the final one will be on March 6 at Zero Aquarius.    On the basic, astrology 101, our two closest planets (from Earth), speak of love and values and receptivity (Venus) and war/action and aggressiveness (Mars).  Love and action come together.  In Leo this speaks to that which makes our heartbeat.  Leo is our creativity, art, passion, love, drama, play, joy and heart driven activity.    I could blow through this conjunction and give you a one liner that would be accurate, but I am going to stop down on this one a bit more because my gut (Cancer) is telling me to do it.  Next month on the Leo new moon I will echo some of this language but with Venus/Mars conjunction in Leo and the sextile to the Cancer New Moon, we need to start connecting to the Leo energy.

Do you know anyone in your life who has unfettered passion?  He or she has a drive and come hell or high water they do it?  I have a son who has a passion for airplanes no less than Richard Branson.  He takes endless trips to LAX to photograph this plane land, another plane take off, each special for reasons only known to him and his plane spotter friends. They gather on a hill talk with passion like they are seeing a plane for the first time and by the way, the are of all ages.   I also have a husband who loves running, swimming and biking.   The miles he covers in all three activities every week, would make the average person shake their head.   I, of course have my own passions, writing, researching, not just astrology but other topics.   I can go just as deep as the other members of our household.   I know from personal experience that having a thing and running with it keeps the heart going.  My friends use to laugh when I got super excited by the arrival of a death certificate when I was deep in geneaology. Being excited about something taps a vitality in us.     Are you tapping your own interest?  Where is your thing?  Are you running with it?   Have your ‘things’ been put on the back burner?  Is it time to find a new thing?   Or are you telling yourself that your thing is stupid?  A waste of time?  Or  that you aren’t that good/knowledgeable/not enough to run with the thing?  Did you know the word amateur comes from the word amore ?  Meaning to  do something out of love.

Now is the time to find and spark your passion.  After one helluva a year, the Venus/Mars conjunction in Leo may have more meaning to all of us than the conjunction in 2015 and it could be important as we roll into the other two conjunctions.  The fire that is activated in our belly now could be put through practical application (perhaps even make money) at Feb’s conjunction in Capricorn and be well received by our circles and community in March at zero Aquarius.    Take time this cycle to let Venus and Mars talk to you.

Astrology This Week. July 5- July 9

Astrology this Week

We are in the Balsamic phase of the Gemini moon.  This is our last phase before the Cancer New Moon launches on July 9th.   We release our rigidity.  We release where we are hanging on too hard, like the Ice Age Squirrel with his frozen nut.   What do we need to release?  What is stuck? Is it our thinking?  Our communication?  Our siblings?  Our neighbors?     We let go of our mental fritzes that no longer serve us so we can use our emotions and our feelings to motivate new beginnings on the July 9thNew Moon.

Balsamic Moon Phase

July 5

4:39pm PDT

Balsamic:   We let go.  By releasing we can prepare for the new.

Focus on How are you releasing your rigidity?  How are you releasing, being stuck? How are you holding on too tight to something old and comfortable?  How can you release that grasp?

Special focus:

7:6 Mercury square Neptune. Fuzzy thinking and fuzzy communication.   Take a breath before you go too far on that information.

7/6:  Venus oppose Saturn.  Love/Money/Values feel strapped or cold.  What maturation needs to take place around those issues?  As frustrating as it can be, consider timing or delays to be divine.

7/8: Venus square Uranus.  Money and Love feel bold but out of step with values.  What needs to be liberated?  Or where are you too liberated and how is it impacting love, money and values?

Cancer New Moon July 9, 18 Cancer 02 6:15pm PDT
