Taurus New Moon Eclipse
April 30, 1:28pm PDT.

This year the Taurus new moon is also a solar eclipse.  It is a partial eclipse but as we know, they all are felt.  Our attention is on our stuff.   Do we value it all?   Do we need to build it up? Do we need more?  Or do we need to value something beyond our stuff.  It is all up for us to process these 29 days.   See my report.

Balsamic Phase

Balsamic Moon Phase

Back at the beginning of April we were full of force and energy with the Aries new moon.   Now we are in the final days of this lunar month.   Our energy may drop, we could be melancholy or blue.   This is part of the process every lunar month but there is a little extra blue due to the balsamic in Pisces.

There is some uplifting energy with Mercury transiting Gemini and Venus conjunct Jupiter.

On the 30th, we have the Taurus New Moon Eclipse.   That post to follow.

April 26, 2022

4/27: Venus conjunction Neptune.  Leaning into the mystical and the joy from some other unworldly place.   Spirit and faith are a beauty along with compassion.

Pluto station retrograde: April 29, 2022

Pluto

Pluto station retrograde

April 29, 2022

28 Cap 36

Pluto spends six months retrograde every year and on April 29 it will begin its journey going back from 28 to 26 degrees of Capricorn.    Pluto will continue to put pressure on big government, big business, and big resources.   Flaws will be exposed including corruption in these areas.   Where systems are disconnected, they will get our attention.   We are in the final degrees of Pluto in Capricorn so there is a lot of work Pluto must accomplish before it leaves the sign in 2024.   Remember we have been dealing with Pluto in Capricorn since 2008.   Whenever Pluto changes signs it gets our attention in a big way.  In the case of 2008 it was the stock market crash and Great Recession.  When it goes into Aquarius –that will be a different animal.  The last time Pluto was in Aquarius the USA was working on a constitution and France was having a revolution.  Aquarius does rule new technology.  Not sure it was something the world really needed but let’s not repeat the guillotine from that era of Pluto in Aquarius.   It is interesting that the next Treasure Map new moon in 2023 will have two Aries new moons.  One at zero degrees and the other at 29 degrees of Aries.    The first Aries new moon will have Pluto at the last seconds of Capricorn. But the next map 29 days later will have Pluto in Aquarius.   I have not had a chance to really absorb it but I do feel like energy is speeding up these final degrees of Pluto in Capricorn.  When the retrograde wrap up on October 8 we will no doubt have seen themes from this winter and early spring repeat but perhaps look quite different by the time we see them again next winter.

Obviously for those of us living in America, the retrograde of Pluto will bring more information and themes as we process the USA’s Pluto return this year and next year.    Which is no small process for a nation and Americans.

Astrology for This Week April 19-April 24

We are in the waning moon this week with  disseminating phase then last quarter moon.  Mentally there are some challenges with some harsher aspects for Mercury.   But it is less bumpy time than earlier this month, so welcome the ease this week.

Disseminating

April 19, 2022

8:04 pm PDT

Focus on:  How are you sharing your knowledge?  How are you sharing your ability to be a bridge?  How are you sharing your generosity?  How are you sharing your ability to embrace situations that seem ‘foreign’?

Last Quarter Moon Phase

April 23, 2022

4:56am PDT

Last Quarter moon:  Now we do the final adjustments to the seeds we planted on new. The final call, the final letters to send, we follow all the trails that came up that still make sense.  And we let the other parts lay fallow. It is a time of action but wise action.  It is a time for living “The serenity prayer”

God, grant me the Serenity
to accept the things
I cannot change Courage to change the
things I can, and the
Wisdom to know the difference.

Focus on:

What actions are you taking that speak to your role in your community?   Where are you making choices that elevate your values and showcase them for others?   What actions are you taking that speak to your own authority in the face of authority?

Special focus

4/23: Mercury conjunct North Node.  Thoughts that are concrete.  Communication that is constructive.   Important thoughts on money and resources.

4/24: Mercury square Saturn.  Thoughts and communication that are too rigid and stuck get a cold response.

Astrology of this week - April 11 - April 19.

First Quarter Moon

April 8, 2022

11:47pm PDT

Monday of this week we continue the first quarter phase.

Focus on:  What actions are you taking that speak to your emotions?  What actions are connected to your roots?  What actions are you using to propel you towards your goals?   How are you harnessing your emotions for big actions?

On the final day of the first quarter, Jupiter conjunction Neptune, the largest aspect of the year takes place.   It is an extraordinary aspect that takes place every thirteen years.   However, the last time they hooked up in the sign Pisces was 1856 and they won’t do it again in Pisces until 2188.   Highly unlikely any of us will be here in 2188 so we should make the most of it now and certainly improve upon what those did with it in 1856.     If you are feeling fuzzy blame Jupiter and Pisces.  If your dreams are weird and you are playing a little bit more in fantasy, it is just the conjunction getting your attention.

Special Note

4/12: Jupiter conjunction Neptune (see above)

Gibbous Moon

April 12, 2022

10:33pm PDT

Focus on:  What is going on with your schedule?  How are your daily activities in sync with your identity?   What needs to be added to your calendar that is more in sync?  What needs to be jettison because you have moved on?   Where to you need more discretion?   What goals need more fine tuning?

Special focus

4/14: Mars enters Pisces.  Actions based on something unworldly.  Fuzzy feelings and intuition guide actions.   Warriors for spirituality may get our attention.   Internally our trust speaks for some of our actions.

Full Moon Phase –

26 Libra 46

April 16, 2020

11:55am

If you have not made your treasure map by this time.  Do NOT make a map.   Skip this year and you can do it next year.  That’s okay to sit out a year.  Farmers let fields go fallow and sometimes we need to do the same.

Focus on

What is going on with your relationships?  How are you finding balance?  When you show up with your authentic self, how do others respond?  How do you value partnerships?  How do partners value you?   How do find the value in negotiations?   Go HERE for more.

Special focus

4/17:  Mercury conjunction Uranus.  Weird, out of the blue thoughts and communications.  Connections that come from left field.

4/18: Sun square Pluto.  Break throughs and break outs.  Where is identity?  How does it find power?

4/19: Sun enters Taurus.   Energies based on concreteness and practicality get our attention.   Being pragmatic makes more sense.

Libra Full Moon. April 16

Libra Full Moon

April 16, 2022

11:54am PDT

26 Libra 45

The Libra full moon reminds us that we are not on this planet alone. Every day we negotiate.  We find balance with our loved ones, our family, our friends, our colleagues, our neighbors, our merchants, the list is endless.    The Libra full moon stops us down and has us look at our negotiating and relating skills.   Libra is the person on the other side of us at any moment.    On the full moon we note where we begin, and the other person ends and how we find balance.

On this full moon chart, Pluto is the significant player.   The Sun and Moon at 26 Aries and Libra form a square with Pluto at 28 degrees of Capricorn.    Pluto in Capricorn is efficient at goals but to get there, it knows the power of cutting out the dead.    Sun in Aries speaks to survival and fighting to get what it wants or needs.   Libra fights for relationship.   But Pluto asks, at what cost are the fights?    Pluto reminds all of us, if we are carrying around dead approaches, dead motives, dead values, dead habits, dead styles, and dead ways of co-operating, then it may be time to consider letting go of that which no longer serves.     The 3-day phase of the full moon could have some tussles as we figure out how to be our own agency for our life and how to show up in relationships without sacrificing authenticity.

Also, Mars and Saturn are in sextile and trine with the Sun and Moon suggesting there can be concrete actions that will establish long term results.    While Pluto taps what is not working, Mars could provide courage and Saturn could provide important restraint on how to fix any issues.

The bigger landscape of this full moon is that it arrives a few days after the Jupiter conjunction with Neptune in Pisces.   This is the biggest aspect of the year and certainly still an influence around this full moon.     Tapping universal love and our compassion may be called upon.  When faced with harsh realities which may be highlighted during the full moon, finding spirit is very possible and can be our oasis.    This year Passover and Easter are 24 hours within each other and of course tap the full moon.   The message in these religious holidays and in the leeward side of Jupiter Neptune, remind us of the power of faith.  Use the full moon to restore your connection to spirit.

In the meantime, I send you peace and joy.

Jupiter Conjunction Neptune - April 12

Jupiter & Neptune  (Wikipedia)

Jupiter Conjunction Neptune

April 12, 2022

7:42am PDT

23 Pisces 58

Jupiter is heading towards Neptune for the big conjunction on April 12 at 7:42am PDT.    This is, by far, one of the biggest aspects for 2022.   The last time the two of them came together was in 2009 and that was in the sign of Aquarius.    This time the conjunction is in Pisces which will can expand our humanitarian and compassionate natures.   We could say, “There by the grace of god”.  Given this aspect is occurring in the Aries lunar month suggests to me that Jupiter/Neptune is more about action in the face of humanitarian emotions.   Empathy rather than just pity.

With Jupiter and Neptune there is an emphasis on spirituality, trust, faith and metaphysics.   There is also a cultural component to the aspect with emphasis on music and arts.  The last time Jupiter and Neptune conjunct in Pisces was 1856.   The birth of the blues and birth of photography connect to the last round in Pisces.   This aspect is a highly creative aspect and many astrologers point out the last conjunction in 2009 connects with the mega hit movie Avatar full of fantasy, technology, and very big like Jupiter and fantastical like Neptune in Aquarius.   The last time Jupiter & Neptune formed a conjunction in Pisces was just prior to the onset of the Civil War.    The tension was high in America between those who thought there was a place in the nation’s future with slavery versus those who thought there was no place for it.   By the time of the next conjunction in 1869, the Civil War was complete, slavery abolished but Jim Crow thrived.

While Jupiter and Neptune can call upon us to tap our creativity and our mystical and our humanitarian, we should be cautious.   There may be more work to be figured out.   This conjunction will reveal more in June 2025 at the time of the first square.

In the meantime, enjoy the bounce and elevation that comes with this aspect.   We should technically feel it for the next couple of weeks.
