Full Moon – Taurus
1:28 PM PST
24 Taurus 01
Six hours before the full moon, Saturn the planet of pragmaticism, discipline, restriction, loss and hard work, stations direct. This sets the stage for the Taurus full moon. But before we go to that astrological chess piece, let’s first talk down the other players.
Uranus, the planet of change is pronounced in the chart. The sun opposes Uranus on November 16 and the Moon conjuncts Uranus two hours after the full moon perfects on the 15th. This is an electrifying three-day full moon phase. Uranus loves to break the rules. It can cause a sudden event that gets everyone’s attention in an out-of-the-blue way. Uranus does not see limits and doesn't like restrictions. It can be radical. It is novelty and has no fear mixing it up. It is also electrical in nature whether it is a shock, spark or lightening bolt. It rules new technology, computers, web, aviation and AI. We should anticipate some event or announcement that is Uranian in nature during the full moon period. We may have trouble sleeping and tingles could get our attention.
As for the signs, Taurus is where we find our comfort. It is the property of our home; it is our things, especially the things that are secure and cozy. It is also money, beauty and what we value. Once a year we have a Taurus full moon in which the Sun in Scorpio and the Moon have a spirited mano y mano conversation. Scorpio says to Taurus, “Hey, are your things and values actually in sync with you or are they keeping you stuck?” And Taurus says to Scorpio, “My god, do you ever stop evolving and shapeshifting?” Given Uranus is communicating to both moon and sun, there could be something that shakes us up about what we value and how we are valued. Will it be a random conversation that starts as a thought (Uranus is the higher octave of mercury) which then gets us worked up such that we get off our butt and do something? Or will it be a thought that makes us sit still, get quiet and consider our options with a new fresh focus? Will we decide something needs to be built upon? Or will we decide something needs to be jettisoned? What will suddenly 'mix it up'.
Venus, the ruler of Taurus is in hard aspect with north node in Aries and south node in Libra. The nodes are currently on a journey that asks us to consider where we need more independence and how that need connects to our relationships. Are we giving those people important to us some space? Are they giving space back to us? Are we getting needed freedom? If not, this full moon could be a trigger point. The work of North Node in Aries has two important dates, January 11th when the nodes move into Pisces and Virgo and then the final partial eclipse on March 29 at 9 degrees Aries. Any aspects to the nodes by the new and full moons between now and January 11 could tap where we need fresh starts. We will have another opportunity on Aries new moon (March 29) partial eclipse.
Speaking of fresh starts, in late May, Saturn will venture into fiery Aries. Saturn moving out of mystical Pisces and into independent Aries will be as different as night from day. Saturn stationing direct in Pisces on this Taurus full moon is important. Is there some type of work we need to do that connects us to faith, spirituality that will serve us later when Saturn moves into Aries? What does it mean to feel a loss and how does it impact our values? Or is someone giving us a burden that should not be our responsibility? Do we need to say, “Nope. Not mine?” Consider how this full moon informs the needs for freedom and independence.
This full moon is the last super moon (closest to Earth) of the year. With all that topsy-turvey Uranus energy in the mix it may be hard to feel grounded. Luckily, six hours after the full moon, the moon forms a sextile with Neptune and then on November 18, the sun trines Neptune. Given the disruption that comes with Uranus and the chilly coldness of Saturn, gentle aspects from Neptune may provide the needed reminders that we are all connected. Look to see what messages come your way to remind you that you are not alone. Psychic tune ins could also land your way.
One last note, of course, this is the final full moon before Pluto enters Aquarius on November 19. Pluto’s long journey that started in 2008 in Capricorn is now completing. Pluto in Aquarius connects to masses of people who want to move forward. Perhaps this full moon will be important as we figure out our place in that new future landscape.
More to be revealed.
