Uranus – Gemini

Uranus returns to Gemini where it will be until 2033/2034.
Last July Uranus tip toed into Gemini looked around at the joint and said “I’ll be back.” Uranus is Tech, Big Tech and Gemini is communication. Gemini is also out of the blue and weird. Within days of entering Gemini last summer there was a moment on a Jumbotron at Coldplay concert that went very viral. Deep Fakes got juiced upand users morphed on how they approached AI by more than a search engine. On April 24 we are there for the long haul and we will have endless discussions about Uranus in Gemini for the next seven years. I am already exhausted at the thought of those future conversations. Sigh.
Historically, Uranus in Gemini, great ideas emerge especially around communication. Innovative breakthroughs are abundant in science, health, transportation and art. We would not be wrong to anticipate this period to be THE cycle of AI. Uranus in Gemini is also disruptive to the status quo in nations. Revolutions around independence has been a common theme in these periods.
On a personal level, we benefit by being light on our feet. Willing to get up and move around. We itch to do something different. We seek liberation. We welcome short trips to experience something new. Novelty goes far. The themes shaking-it-up will be expressed by the natal house of the Uranus transit. Also, those people who have planets in early Aquarius, Gemini & Libra will get excited by the thought of doing something new. Those with planets in early Virgo, Sag and Pisces can feel challenged by all the movement or overwhelmed, which is saying a lot since these signs are good at flexing.
All of us need to find our intuition to help guide us during a world in transition. Neptune in Aries may be helping us on that one. Learning how to pivot is crucial. It is also important to come up with practices that can make you feel grounded. So much up in the air-ness can be exhausting. Moments of grounding can do a lot of good.
Historically, Uranus in Gemini cycles have coincided with periods of war in the United States, including the American Revolution, the Civil War, and World War II. We are again entering this cycle at a time of conflict. How that unfolds remains to be seen.
One point worth noting comes from Nick Dagan Best, who said that the world at the beginning of a Uranus in Gemini cycle does not look like the world at the end of it. When Uranus entered Gemini in 1941, the United States was not yet in World War II. By the end of that cycle, the war had been fought, atomic technology had emerged, and the global order had shifted. In the 1860s cycle, the country entered divided and after the Civil War formed a new structure. Go back further and the American Revolution follows the same pattern. These are periods of fundamental change.
However, this current cycle is not a repeat. Uranus is forming supportive aspects to Pluto, Saturn, and Neptune that have not occurred together before now in human history. There is disruption, but there is also structure. Prepare for something different and watch this space.
