In the northern hemisphere, in the dead of winter, the Leo Full Moon arrives and warms us with enthusiasm, joy, and creativity. It is as if the summer Sun lands in our winter world just to remind us that no matter how cold it is, sunny joy can manifest through sheer personality.

Now, in the middle of summer, the Aquarius Full Moon arrives to cool off all that personality and remind us of the power of groups, friendships, and community.

What's the point of being the smartest, funniest, cleverest, or most talented person in the room if you aren't sharing those gifts with others?

Aquarius Full Moons remind us to leave our ego at the door and simply show the hell up for the people around us.

This year, Jupiter in Leo sits right on the Sun, which could tempt us to think, "Well, maybe we should celebrate Number One, too." Not so fast.

Across the sky sits Pluto on the Aquarius Moon saying, "I dare you to make this about you."

Of course, this Full Moon doesn't happen in a vacuum. It arrives in the middle of the extraordinary outer planet dance card. Whatever unfolds under this lunation is likely part of a much bigger collective story that has been building all summer.

As one of Aquarius' traditional rulers, Saturn, now retrograde in Aries, reminds us that every group still needs leadership. Responsibility can sometimes feel like a chore, but showing up for others often turns out to be one of the most rewarding things we do.

We may still be licking our wounds from the Mars-Venus square earlier in the day, so let this Full Moon be an excuse to reconnect. Call your friends. Go to dinner. Join the group. Laugh. Jupiter in Leo suggests the laughs could be bigger than usual.

All in all, this is a pretty decent Full Moon.  Sometimes "pretty decent" is exactly what we need.
