Aquarius Full Moon

Aquarius Full Moon  (Supermoon)
August 10, 2014  2:09pm EDT

We are in a new landscape now that the crosses have completed in July.   Mars is in Scorpio and Jupiter is in Leo and on the new moon two weeks ago they made an aspect with the sun and the moon which activated this whole 29 day lunar cycle.     Now we have the full moon in Aquarius activating the teeter- totter of being out there in the world with others and working in a team (Aquarius) versus working on our own and being the Big Shot (Leo).      And  yes, this is a Supermoon.

Aquarius is brilliant, eccentric, odd, interesting, cutting edge, rebellious and knows the power of being a part of a community.    What is the larger community that you consider yourself a member?   Who thinks like you?  Not about stupid stuff but on the broad big picture stuff?     How are you apart of a team?  If you are not and feel disconnected from a big group, this Full Moon may point out how your disconnect is hurting you.      With Leo, we are motivated by the heart and our passion and our authentic self.   Leo can be brave and strong when the heart is involved.   When fear is in the mix and self esteem is lost, Leo is a drama suck.    Watch this full moon to see how you get pulled into drama.  What is the antidote?  Find your heart, speak from it and then move on.

Saturn is squaring the Full Moon which is a big ass ‘Come to Jesus’ moment.  Some stuff will be shut down.  Cold water will be poured.   Coldness will slap our friends (Aquarius) and our passions (Leo) perhaps a disappointment or fear will come up.  Okay.  But it is not the end of the world.  It is a time to go back to the drawing boards and retool.    Saturn points out our weaknesses.  Saturn in Scorpio speaks to loans, sex, debt, co mingled funds and of course power and rebirth.     Where have we been neglectful or misguided?   Saturn will point it out.  But remember, Saturn does not deny it only delays.

On this  full moon Mercury is on top of Sun oppose the Moon so communication will be high.    We will get a lot of information, perhaps some it we want some of it we don’t want but put whatever information we receive through the filter of “Is this helping me find a group of likeminded people?  And is this helping me find my passion and my heart?”

Also, Uranus the ruling planet of Aquarius is in a delightful aspect with the Moon and a great aspect with the Sun.   The emphasis is on change.   In particular a path to important changes could present themselves.   Be flexible.  See what shows up.  It could be a new path, it could be a new idea, it could be a new thought, but keep your brain on for new changes.

Is it an easy moon?  Hmm.  Hard to say, my first instinct is no. But in truth, a little dust up could be helpful to get us on the right path.   Use anything that comes up that is uncomfortable as a sign that it is time for changes.   And then reach out to your community and your heart to find the right path.

Supermoons...come again?

What is the deal with SuperMoons?

Let’s go to Wikipedia

A supermoon is the coincidence of a full moon or a new moon with the closest approach the Moon makes to the Earth on its elliptical orbit, resulting in the largest apparent size of the lunar disk as seen from Earth. The technical name is the perigee-syzygy of the Earth-Moon-Sun system.

What do Astronomers say?
The term supermoon is not used within the astronomical community, which use the term perigee-syzygy or perigee full/new moon.[10] Perigee is the point at which the Moon is closest in its orbit to the Earth, and syzygy is when the Earth, the Moon and the Sun are aligned, which happens at every full or new moon. Hence, a Supermoon can be regarded as a combination of the two, although they do not perfectly coincide each time.

What about astrologers?
Richard Nolle was the astrologer who actually coined the term “Supermoon.”   And thus probably the reason why astronomers don’t like to use the term since their hard on against astrology is legendary.  Anyway, you can find the list of Supermoons on Richard Nolle’s site  HERE.    And here is his FB page

I am intrigued by Nolle and other astrologers who track natural disasters and if you do a search you will find  several who tie large Earthquakes, volcanoes and tsunamis (2004 Tsunami) near a SuperMoon.

By the way, here’s an interesting discussion on Moon Quakes caused by the gravitational pull of Earth. How hard is it to think of the opposite? Would not the Moon pull on Earth?

And?

Seismic activity or not, it can be a loaded Moon.  Emotional, hard headed, volatile, it all depends on the other aspects but my opinion is it is a full moon with a wee bit of steroids.

The Week Ahead

Wow.   That was kind of an annoying weekend.  But we won’t get into that.  Moving on….
So,  we start off the week in a first quarter moon.

Focus on:  What actions can you take that speak to your death and rebirth?   What are you letting die?   To be the bigger you, something needs to go, what are you going to do to facilitate that release?   What actions are you taking that address your joint resources?

Special focus
8/7: Mars/Neptune:  Actions based on spirit and higher ideals.   Putting action and faith together.   Idealism and actions move forward.

On Thursday we move into a Gibbous Moon
Aug 7
9:36 am EDT

Focus on:
We get another lunar cycle where we are refining our education.  We are refining how we learn.  We are refining how we expand and bring in something ‘foreign’.  We are refining our judgments.  We are refining how and when we choose to be righteous.

Special Focus:
8/8: Sun/Mercury: Creativity and mental acumen are strong.  Ego checks will be needed.
8/8: Mercury/Uranus:  Creativity, breakthroughs.  Individuality is welcomed.
8/8: Sun/Uranus:  Breaking out.  Feeling freedom.  Moving out there.   Seeing a place where you belong and going for it.
8/8: Mercury/Saturn:  Cold water on thinking.  Big ideas meet a big brick wall.  Sour conversations.
8/9: Sun/Saturn:  Obstacles feel overwhelming but tough hurdles make you a better technician.   Refine your tactics

This Week

The New Moon started on Saturday and continues to be New Phase until July 30.       So, on Monday, Tuesday and (most of ) Wednesday we should be planting seeds that expand on our bigness.

Focus:   How are you being big?  How are you living a full, rich, dramatic bold life?  How are you stretching?  How are you being a big shot?  How are you being out in front?  And if not why not?   Who exactly told you that being small or shy is helping you?    Get over it, please.

On Wednesday (July 30  9:43pm EDT) we move into Crescent Phase

Focus on:  What are you learning that speaks to your schedule?  What are you learning that speaks to your daily habits?  How are you learning about your skills?  And your healthcare?   What are you doing each day and does it support your bigness?

This week we have a few aspects that will be pulsating and getting our attention:

Venus & Uranus square on Friday August 1st (12:43am EDT) -- A skank aspect.  Money, love and more to the point, values will feel tweaked.   Some will feel like going rogue others will feel clingy.

But at the same time that aspect throws dust up in the air, a couple days later we have Saturn helping build values up.

Venus Trine Saturn on Friday August 1 (6:22am EDT) -- Structuring love and values.  Building up the things that are important.   Hard work and love go hand in hand.

And on Friday August 1 (6:47pm EDT) Mars Squares Jupiter.   Yes, this is a bitch of an aspect and we have had several of them in the last year.  But this one is different than the other ones because it was in the signs Libra and Cancer.    Now it is Leo and Scorpio.   Whole other ball game.  Last time we were fighting over relationships, balance, “fairness” and  emotions.  This time we are fighting for our evolution, our money, our pride, our ego, our RIGHT to be HERE.     Watch the egos out there.   Be safe.

And one more thing…on Saturday August 2 ---
A wee bit more ego and mouthiness.   Try to not engage!!! If you can.

8/2: Mercury/Jupiter: Oh, watch the exaggerations!  If not yours than other people’s.  Big lies will be told.  Big Ego all over the place.  Creativity can also be big!

8/2: Mercury/Mars.  Watch out for the fighting words!  Troublesome egos can upset the applecart.
