Leo Full Moon

5 Leo 14
At this time of the year, we always have a full moon in the sign of Leo. Like all full moons, the sun is in the opposite sign at the same degree. With the Leo full moon, the sun is in Aquarius. Great. One plus one equals two.
However, this Leo full moon arrives shortly after Pluto began its trek in Aquarius on January 20. Then about ten hours before the full moon, the Moon opposes Pluto. The fact is that for the next twenty years all the new moons in Aquarius and the full moons in Leo may be potentially impacted by Pluto. By the time we get to 2043 we will be so OVER Pluto in Aquarius influencing these lunations. But we’re not there yet. This is the first lunation of the journey and at 5 degrees, the full moon will have some Pluto in the mix. What will Pluto tell Leo?
Leo is bold, bright, full of confidence, daring, strong and understand its self-worth. Great. Aquarius is about friends, groups, people whom we do our ‘together’ work. Great.
In the full moon, Pluto will focus on the weaker side of Leo. It will ask: Is ego too big? Are actions legitimate desires or are they based on pretense? Are we doing stuff based on pride and not the heart? Pluto is a drill bit and if something is off in our truth solar plexus Pluto will find it. Bragging and being fake will come at a cost. We may hear our own inauthentic self and it could bothers us.
On this chart, Jupiter in Taurus forms a T square with the sun and the moon. Be careful and don’t fall for the trappings of “Go big or go home” That may not be the right answer. Remember, the sun in Aquarius knows that we must be connected to our self-worth to bring our dynamic energy to the group. This is the work between Leo and Aquarius. Taurus likes to hang on to stuff even if those things are obsolete. The challenge is getting Taurus to really understand what it does or does not value. Hanging on “just because” may not be good enough.
The open end of the T-square is Scorpio which understands the power of discretion and the power of letting something die so something new can be formed. Maybe think a bit before big purchases. They may or may not be based on real desire. Also, for the three-day full moon lean into the old phase, “Leave your ego at the door” and instead get lost and drill down on your creativity. Hiding in art is good fun. Additionally, Saturn in Pisces is in quincunx with the moon which amplifies the power of responsibility and the deep understanding that our best actions are based on correct timing and a strong gut. What is our intuition telling us about our timing?
Watch what comes up on this three-day phase, it may provide some insights on the Pluto Aquarius journey that is now upon us.
