This WEEK……

The Mars square with Pluto on Saturday along with Moon in Capricorn and all the crosses with the other cardinal planets made for a tense weekend.    Look no further than the fights in your family and Iraq.   On Monday the moon moves into a Disseminating phase.  Hopefully the tension will have dissipated at least a bit....

Focus on: How are you elevating the conversation among your friends or your tribe?  How are you finding higher ideals to shoot for as a group.   Who is your tribe?  Do they think like you?  Are they matching the new you?  How have you changed in the last year and are they still fitting your groove?    Just askin’.

On Tuesday (17^th) Mercury returns to Gemini.    We are around the half way point of Mercury retrograde and we might prefer Mercury’s return to Gemini just to get the emotions out of the mix when Mercury was in Cancer.    As noted, Mercury retrograde is a chance for us to rewire our brain.   What have you been rethinking?  What do you no longer intellectually want to experience?   Now with Mercury returning to Gemini our brains will get a work out.   We will get an intellectual work out.   Problems will test us.  But at the core we will be questioning---how did this problem show up in my lap (perhaps again)?    Watch what comes up. 

On June 19^th we move into Last Quarter Moon.

Last Quarter moon:  Now we do the final adjustments to the seeds we planted on new. The final call, the final letters to send, we follow all the trails that came up that still make sense.  And we let the other parts lay fallow. Sag Full Moon

Sagittarius Full Moon

When the moon is in Sag we are stretching.   We are reaching out to others, we are building bridges; we are engaging things that are ‘foreign’.   We are getting an education.   We are traveling.   We wonder what is around that corner, in that book, in that language?  We are curious.    That’s what we do when we are processing the Sag energy in an elevated manner.    When we are twisted up tight and not so elevated we take the Sag energy in a different manner (to say the least).  We are righteous, we are prejudice, we are judgmental.  We know the right path, thought, vote and everyone else is WRONG.  We are opinionated zealots and god knows our religion is the ONLY one.   That is what Sag looks like when it is taking THAT path.  

On the full moon with Gemini Sun we are balancing the Sag energy with the Gemini’s need to be light and fun.  Gemini is also curious.  They are open to meeting and greeting.   They can find a story in every event.  He is not as serious as Sag but they both enjoy a good party.  They are both fun and people enjoy having them around.  But when Gemini is misbehaving he is rudderless and not good with follow through or commitments.    He is so dang funny and a great conversationalist that we forgive a lot.  

As we know Mercury is retrograde which is the ruling planet for Gemini so our communication is a bit tweaked on the full moon.   Adding to the tension is a  Sun/Moon square with Chiron in Pisces.   Watch the conversation on this full moon. A wrong comment at the wrong time could have a ripple effect that no one wants.    Some story about some victim will be big.   And there is a story bigger than whatever we see but we just can’t do much about it.  Just take each day as it comes. Or take it one hour at a time.  

As always we do need to look at this full moon in context of the bigger picture and as we previously discussed Venus opposes Saturn on Friday.  Mars Squares Pluto on Saturday which is a call back to mid April for the big cardinal crosses.   We may be revisiting topics from then.    Tension is great.    Rubber bands are pulled tight.    Watch your driving.  Watch your tongue.  Watch your texts.   If people are feeling unhinged remove yourself.  

Finally, if you can access the lighter side, open side of Gemini and the welcoming & expanding side of Sagittarius, consider this full moon, even with the skanky Venus and Mars energy, as an opportunity to get a vision on what you want off in the future.  

This Week

The week begins with Gibbous Moon (1:32pm EDT) on Monday.   During Gibbous we sort through data.  We refine.   We make sure we aren’t neglecting things so later we aren’t  saying, “rut-ro that was important.”

On this Gibbous we are refining our resources, our loans, our debts, our sex, our death with rebirth and the things we share with others.   That is a mouthful.   What have you been neglecting in those areas?  What needs fine-tuning?

Also as we discussed earlier Neptune turns retrograde on Monday. 

The rest of the week will be focused on Venus and Mars.   Venus is in opposition to Saturn on Friday.   That is one cold aspect.   Listen to the conversations, there will be a lot of, “What have you done for me lately?”   Venus does not feel loved with Saturn or she does not feel loving.   She is reserved.  She retreats.  She feels completely undervalued.  Interesting aspect to have come up during a Mercury retrograde where we are rewiring our emotions (Mercury in Cancer).    We get really practical about our love.   And we get practical about our creativity, our art, our money and to a certain extent our value.  A lot of people will feel that they are not charging enough for their craft and services.   And they are probably correct.    

At the same time Mars squares Pluto on Saturday.  This is our warrior up against his frigid opponent, Pluto.   The truth is both are warriors.   Where Mars is on the ground in hand to hand combat, Pluto detonates an atomic bomb.    Little different style, no?     Having these two go at it with each other is a reminder that there is stuff in our life that needs repair or work (Pluto in Capricorn) and if we have been shallow about the work or lacking the commitment (Mars in Libra) we will see problems.  Some of us will have to step up our game and negotiate real solutions even if it is difficult.  And yes, this is a perfect aspect to cut your losses and move on.    Curiously, Venus oppose Saturn also has a cut your losses energy to it.    See a theme?

The weekend starts off with the Moon in Libra.  As we know things get a tough when the moon is in a cardinal sign.    Watch the moods go up and down over the next couple of days.  Here is your score card:

Then on Monday Neptune June 9^th will turn retrograde at 3:51 pm EDT.

Every year Neptune spends six months going backwards and there is a case to be made that he prefers it that way.  Nonetheless he will move from 8 degrees to 4 degrees of Pisces when he turns direct on November 16.   Our dreams, our intuition, our fogginess will speak to us. Imagine your psyche going on a little boat out in the sea, being pulled into different currents.  Where will you be on the other side of the journey? The key is finding faith in the journey.    The key is finding creativity in the journey.  The key is finding self while enjoying getting lost in the journey.    Your intuition will be calling you; will you pick up the phone?

Mercury retrograde

Mercury turns retrograde on June 7^th at 4 degrees Cancer and it won’t turn direct until July 1 at 24 Gemini, the shadow dates are May 24^th and July 15. Every Mercury retrograde has a lesson.  The first lesson is of course—slow down.    Double check all paperwork, reservations, avoid major purchases or signing important documents. 

But the real gift and yes this is a gift, treat Mercury retrograde as a brain reboot especially a retrograde in the Gemini lunar cycle.  This is a mental rewiring.  What are we rewiring?  Because the retrograde is in Cancer, the wiring will be first and foremost about Cancer issues, which speaks to our family and our emotions & our feelings, our food, our home, our childhood.  

Also, we may finally rewire our brains to stop taking things so damn personal.   Perhaps the switch will finally go off that says, “Oh, I get it, that guy/gal is an asshole and it has nothing to do with me not being  smart enough, fun enough, pretty enough, rich enough, clever enough, thin enough,  nice enough –fill in the blank enough –for them to treat me better. They are just an asshole. “    “And now what am I going to do about it?”  

See the need for rewiring?    Don’t be surprised if you have a different take on all that stuff by the time Mercury turns direct on July 1^st and definitely by the end of the unwind culminating July 15^th.       And yes, there will be a couple weeks when the retrograde will be processing Gemini so we will be rethinking our communication both what we want to talk about what we want to hear.    If the days get stressed and if people have a sharp tongue (a Gemini trait) remember this is the cycle where we are dexterous.  Perhaps we will return the comment with our own sharp barb, perhaps we will use humor to diffuse tension, perhaps we end the conversation and go talk to someone we like.   The key is flexibility!
