Finally!  Relief.   Mars our warrior friend will finally straighten out and fly straight and not one tiny second too early.

Technically we have been in this rough period since Mars started having tough aspects in the summer with the outer planets. Then when Mars turned retrograde on September 9, everything went on steroids.   Once Mars turns direct, he will begin his journey to sanity, but it is vital that we consider what we have learned about our own power during this cycle?  Did we collapse?  Did we buckle down?  When stuff got thrown our way did we find new solutions?  How did we tap into our survival mode?   We should all do a victory lap that we are here and celebrate our new skills and powers.  It may have been lonely at times, this astrologer over here raises her hand, but it will be worth all the struggle when it is over.  Put on our cape, you are a hero.

Jupiter Conjunct Pluto

Are you feeling  it? 

Jupiter and Pluto have been on top of each other all year.  The final conjunction on November 12 will be the third in the triology where the first meet up was April 4 and the second on June 29^th.     Covid and its impact both physically and economically was pronounced around both dates.  For many of us this conjunction is exhausting. It has been difficult to live through as a human just trying to get through life.   Pulling out a bit, the stock market heaved up and down around those earlier dates and there was a lot of discussion on which bail outs would help during Covid.  It stands to reason we should anticipate more discussion about Covid Relief around this final conjunction. 

Speaking of exhaustion, it is good to remember that the last time Jupiter and Pluto were in conjunction in the sign Capricorn was 1771.   For those of us familiar with American history we know this was the run up to the Independence War.   Something was happening that would set up the future for USA. 

    

Now the USA future is being formed again in 2020.   ‘What works?’ asks Capricorn.  ‘Who in power and is effective?’  Asks Pluto.   ‘How are people’s beliefs being transformed?’ asks Jupiter conjunct Pluto.   ‘What are the big ideas?’  Asks Jupiter.   Then at the end of the year, Jupiter will finally move out of Capricorn and into Aquarius on Dec 19and on Dec 21 it will conjunct Saturn in Aquarius setting off a new cycle in air signs for the next 200 years.  In Aquarius we will consider humanity and what serves the majority.  What is humane?  Watch for issues in the news and our personal life where we ask: ‘What works?’  ‘Who is in power and are they effective?’  ‘How are people’s beliefs being transformed?’  ‘What are the big ideas?’    There could be some pain and a sober note that something is not working.  Death and rebirth are critical for Pluto including death of an idea or thinking.    As always, breathe through the tension.

So,  are we spent?  Are we mentally exhausted?  In the last three weeks we have been processing a lot.  What information have we learned that was accurate?  What information have we learned that was incorrect?   Where did we take a minute and go deeper into something?  What research did we do and what were the results?   

We should all feel the energy lift when Mercury turns direct.  It might be subtle but there could be mental shift that feels brighter. 

Libra appreciates balance, compansionship, relationships, it understand give and take.   Venus the planet of love is the ruling planet of Libra.   What we do for love will be on our minds as Mercury unwinds.   Values and what we appreciate will be on our minds.    We may be called to step again in a deep way when Mercury returns to Scorpio.  

It is also important to note that Mercury will turn direct at 9:49am PST on November 3 in the middle of the election day in the USA.   Make a plan for how you are going to vote --don’t just wing it.

We roll into the Taurus Full moon on Halloween.   The month of October started with a full moon and ends with a full moon making it a blue moon.   How did we end up with a blue full moon in Taurus?   Simple.  Because everything must be unprecedented, out of control and on steroids in 2020, so of course we get a blue full moon.  And because it’s not good enough to just be a blue full moon, it is exactly on top of Uranus.  

 

When I contemplated this full moon near the end of an extraordinary year, I started to think about focus pullers. Do you know those people who cannot control themselves and have to be the center of attention no matter what the circumstances?   You know the person at a baby shower who can’t find their keys and has to get everyone around them looking for their keys including the mother to be.   We all know those people and we  can all agree that being in their shadow is  the worst.   In some weird way that is what I feel is going on with Uranus in Taurus.  All year long we have had Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto in Capricorn sucking up all the astrological oxygen in the room and whatever is left over Mars in Aries grabbed.   The warring of these cardinal planets that began ten months ago has been mind-boggling to witness and process.    But after November and after Mars stations direct, we will start to feel a softening of the energy sucking cardinal planets and we will all begin to pivot to Uranus who will create its own focus pulling  in 2021.     In January,  Jupiter will square Uranus and on Feb 14, June 14 and December 24 Saturn will square Uranus.  There will be a lot that we work out in 2021 and it will all be centered around changes.  Not small but mega changes.   Perhaps Uranus, tired of the focus pullers in Capricorn is grabbing our attention on this Taurus full moon to help us later 2021.  

 

Taurus is not easy to change.  It can build something up bit by bit, show a lot of patience, take a lot of guff and hang in there because it knows if it waits long enough it will succeed.  It can build something great.    However, the not so good side of Taurus, is it can be very stubborn and hang on and hang on and refuse to give up when something has outlived its usefulness.  Taurus can get too lazy and too comfortable and can miss real opportunities by being stuck   This is the gift of the Taurus full moon, it has the Sun in Scorpio on the other side pushing and reminding Taurus the value in letting something die.    It challenges the lazy or fear -based  stubborn Taurus and says, “‘Let it go, man, there something better out there.”  Let’s do it different.  “ 

 

During this full moon, consider doing something in a different manner.  With Uranus, we should expect the unexpected.   Uranus is the planet of lightening and earthquakes and there is just a level of chaos under the surface with this full moon.  The chaos could be under of our skins and/or in our environment.    Uranus is one of the thinking planets (Higher octave of Mercury).  A lot of us will be thinking about changes, perhaps abrupt changes that we could make.  Maybe we don’t jump on the changes, but we will just start thinking, “What if ____(fill in the blank.)    Those thoughts could be important in 2021.   

 

In the meantime, for those of us who live in the USA, we will have our general election on November 3, smack in the middle of this full moon.   

Technical malfunctions could be an issue at least in the beginning of November 3 however at 12:49pm (EST) Mercury will turn direct and that might help the situation.  

 

Finding our center will be difficult during the full moon but if you can do something simple like  take a walk it will help with grounding.

Remember the Lunar Hurdles

 

Every month, the moon will be in a cardinal sign once a week.  It stays in the sign for two and half days.  These days can be frustrating and fuses can be short.   Work can be accomplished but it can get bumpy.  Even when you are making your point and tapping into all your force, you can still remember to tap into kindness.    This week's cardinal showcase begins late on the 20th and wraps early in the morning on the 23rd.

Astrology For The Week of October 20th.

 

Astrology of The Week

 

We move out of the New Moon phase and into Crescent at 5:38pm PDT on Monday.    If there are areas of your life that feel out of balance or in some form of disharmony consider taking these last few hours of new moon to do something that addresses the issues.  There is a lovely aspect between Jupiter and Venus that supports going out comfort zone for fixing the problem.  Perhaps it is a conversation or an action or maybe you stop down and really consider what is throwing off your equilibrium on the surface and on the deep level.    

 

The three day Crescent Phase will be focused on expanding your viewpoints.  You may talk to others who offer up something that you could have been missing that addresses issues that have been bugging you.  

 

Tuesday has a lovely aspect between Venus and Pluto that is inherently healing especially around matters of love and money and things that we value.  On Wednesday the Sun moves into Scorpio, Happy Birthday, Scorpios! 

 

We move into First Quarter Moon on 10/23 putting the focus again on actions.  These actions speak to community, circles beyond family, finding like-minded groups.  Saturn and Venus have a nice aspect which supports structure and building upon the good, that which you value gets buttressed by your action with ease.  Sun and Mercury hook up, great for research, planning, going in deep on information, possibly revisiting conversations that left you shaking your head.

Crescent:  We will receive information, we will research a bit more, perhaps get feedback on stuff that we planted on new.  Perhaps get some information that will help down the road on a seed we planted a while ago.  We can collect some data now.  Even if you think you are not getting information, stop, and re-look at everything.  Who called you?  Even the silliest things, when they come up during Crescent are note worthy.  A parking ticket?  An argument with a spouse?  A refund check from the phone company?  All of it needs to be considered a message from the universe.  How can this information help you?

 

Focus on: What information are you leaning that broadens your viewpoints?  What information are you learning that opens up your circle?  What information are you learning that helps you balance out your judgments?
