While the Moon is still in Taurus....
what do we know about Moon in Taurus. It is practical, it is solid, it is focused on values. It can take a little bit and methodically add to it bit by bit until it is something solid.
I made a donation to the American Rred Cross this morning.
I hope some of you will do as well. Remember it does not have to be a lot.

Hurricane Sandy
Abandoned House in Southampton, NY.
Hurricane Sandy is about to land somewhere along the Jersey Shore. Right near the high tide on a full moon. Gosh, where to begin?
I hope the positive aspects of the full moon chart support people getting the help that they will surely need. I hope that those who are in harms way got out or are safe. I'm hoping the practical Taurus Moon supports everyone in being sensible.
In the meantime and this is secondary, Mercury retrograde on Election Day next Tuesday probably speaks to Sandy. Will there be electricity in some states? Will all the polling places be working? I sort of think not. Mercury retrograde for sure.

More Poltical Talk through Astrology lens
It gets heady but there is a lot of good information in this article by Joseph Crane.
You will find the full article over HERE.
Astrology Institute Newsletter: September 2012
By Joseph Crane
Special American Presidential Issue
Astrology Program September 2012 – A Mercury Retrograde Election – Obama and Romney – Many Predictive Indicators Examined
In the United States the Presidential season is upon us and is in its final months of greatest intensity. This is a tough contest between Republican challenger Mitt Romney and his running mate Paul Ryan vs. Democratic incumbent Barack Obama and his running mate Joe Biden. It’s time to look at the final lap and surmise its outcome. I will attempt to leave my partisanship and punditry behind and give sober astrological analysis using many predictive indicators for the Presidential candidates.. Mercury goes retrograde on election night and this affects both men’s charts. Let’s look again at Obama’s and Romney’s natal charts: we know them better than before. Then I take on transits, secondary progressions, solar returns, and Hellenistic planetary period systems. I will compare both men by each predictive indicator and give some conclusions.
We must also factor in an unusual feature of American politics at this level: the usual fate of the unfortunate losers of U.S. Presidential elections. In Parliamentary systems, losing candidates for Prime Minister, if they wish to stay in office, are the leaders of the opposition party. Barack Obama and Mitt Romney are now at the height of fame and importance, but three months from now one of them may be cast into the political wilderness. The Wheel of Fortune turns steeply for both candidates. This may help us make a prediction about who is more likely to emerge the winner in November
The Week Ahead
Full Moon Phase
October 29, 3:49pm
06 Taurus 48
Full Moon: We make the needed adjustments on the things
we planted. Usually emotions are up and running and for those people who
perhaps did not utilize the new moon and the rest of the waxing moon, this is
when emotions can get the better of us.
There can often be a big emotional break, for no other reason than to
get back on track. Some partnership
will offer up some balance. The moon is
bright and full and there is no room for shadows, what is reflecting on
you?
Focus on: How is money important in your partnership? How is being practical a solution to finding
balance? How can hard work, discipline
and no nonsense get your relationship online?
What is going on too long and just needs to be ditched? In a real practical sense, what relationships
are just no longer serving?
SEE EARLY POST
Special focus:
10/30: Sun sextile pluto: An energizing flow with
accent on resources. Letting go of the
dead and moving on to the new.
11/1: Venus oppose Uranus: Sometimes
our money and our love life and our values need an electric bolt. Have we shown up for our partner too
much? Why aren’t they doing the work? Or do we need to do more work because they
have been doing too much? Watch for
bolts. Watch the money piece.
Disseminating Moon Phase
November 2 7:30pm
Disseminating:
Share information; find a teacher or someone who has more knowledge. Perhaps
there was a big ol’ blow out on the full and one feels in need of support and
help, this is the phase to reach out to one who knows more. This is when we
find a rabbi or a minister or therapist who gives us more insight. And of course, you too may be ready to teach
and share your own information.
Focus on: What are you sharing with others that helps
them make connections? Where are you
being flexible? Where are you getting
advice from others that helps you see another point of view? How are others helping you get your point of
view out there? How are sharing that
you know how to pivot?
Taurus Full Moon
October 29 3:49pm EDT
Taurus Full
Moon
“Raise your
hand high if you are like me and you love Taurus Full Moon.” Honestly,
what is not to love when The Universe sends us a big chiropractor
adjustment? Taurus speaks to our
values. Scorpio speaks to death and
rebirth. On Scorpio full moon we have an opportunity to
ditch things that are no longer in sync with our values. The easy stuff is of course the clutter in our
houses. The more difficult stuff is within
our relationships. And this Scorpio full
moon falls in the Libra lunar cycle which is all about relationships, including
the one with self. Where
are we accepting nonsense? Where are we
exerting power? Where are we afraid to
show power? On this full moon Saturn is in conjunction with
Sun which simply says: walk your talk. People focused on reality (Saturn) and
practical application of their values (Taurus) and take no shit (Scorpio) will get this moon.
Scorpio
speaks to life force. It is our survival. Use this full Moon to find your survival. It speaks to you every day but perhaps you have
not listened to it because of mitigating circumstances, like the fear that love
will be removed from your life if you stand up for yourself? Or
maybe you have been a slave (there is a Scorpio word) to your job. Is it time to risk a financial loss and stand
up? And how are any obsessions and compulsions
(Scorpio & Taurus) undercutting your survival?
The Moon is
in a beautiful trine with Pluto and sextile Chiron and the Sun trines
Neptune. We will be inspired (Neptune)
to do what we need to do (Pluto) because it matters (Taurus) Also, Mercury (Sag) trine Uranus (Aires) creates
mental breakthroughs, meaning we ‘get’ stuff.
Some of us know exactly where we are staying safe and
small. Perhaps giving up that which is
more in sync with our values because we are afraid to say NO. We don’t say NO because at our core whether
we share it with anyone (or not) we feel we deserve scraps. Who told us we deserve scraps? Our history (Moon), our parents (DNA-Scorpio),
our religion (Mercury in Sag) who told us this lie? And why are we still believing it? Take
this full moon to remember you deserve more but as we all know, no two things
can occupy the same space. So what is
it? Are you going to stay small? Or are you going to stretch and get out there
and do the work that is in sync with your real values.
Don’t bypass this wonderful opportunity provided the Taurus
Full Moon.

This Week......
A wee bit tardy with the weekly reminder.
We continue to be in First quarter moon today and then tomorrow it moves into Gibbous.
First Quarter Moon
October 21, 11:31pm EDT
Focus
on:
What actions are you taking that speak to
your executive abilities? What about
your relationships how are you managing them?
Are you working for your partner or is your partner working for
you? Where are you out of balance with
your goals? Are they too far reaching
or do they not reach enough? What about
your partner, do they need to reach further or pull back?
Special focus:
10/22: Sun enters Scorpio: Give your Scorpio a Gift Card. They need it.
Even if they have money they still need you to give them a gift card.
They are in a ‘put up or shut up’ mood.
Whether they say it or not.
10/25:
Sun/Saturn: Tough day if you have been
fuzzy about money and resources. Great
day to look at the world in black and white.
Grey does not serve.
Gibbous Moon
October
25 4:17pm
Gibbous:
We
refine our information. We pick and
choose, we discriminate, we organize to
be ‘Virgo’ like. We sort through
details. Have we missed something? How are we sifting through the
information? Go back and make sure
something hasn’t been neglected. Refine
our actions.
Special Focus:
10/28: Venus enters Libra: Gentleness, relaxing, letting others do the
work while we find our muse amusing.
10/28: Mars oppose Jupiter: Actions that are based on beliefs will be
supported. Actions that are at odds with
beliefs will be seen as fraudulent.
10/29: Mercury enters Sagittarius:
Here we go again with all of our opinions. Lots to say but also a lot jokes and
humor. Mental bridges are made.
10/29: Mercury square Neptune: Communication is cloudy. Deceit is in the air. Passive communication. Hard to find the truth.

Presidential Debate Tomorrow: 3rd time the charm?
The final presidential debate
takes place on Monday October 22 at 9pm EDT Boca Rotan, Florida.
Sun in Scorpio, Gemini ASC and of course Jupiter is in the 1st
house opposite Mars in the 7th.
The Moon in Aquarius in the 9th
house trines Jupiter and sextile Mars.
The Sun trines Neptune and Sun conjuncts Saturn (last week’s debate the
Sun conjunct Saturn as well).
I need to be honest and say that
I am a bit confused by this chart. The
topic of the debate is foreign policy which is amply supported by the Moon in
the 9th house. Accent on things
that are ‘foreign’ is also supported by Jupiter in the 1st. Mars in Sag is a spiritual warrior, a true
Crusader. In addition to religion, Sag
is also visionary. Where are our wars
taking us? What is the purpose of our
wars? What is the bigger picture? These are questions worth pondering under
these aspects. Especially, with the Moon
in Aquarius making favorable aspects to both Mars and Jupiter. Curiously, the last time Mars and Jupiter
were opposite in these signs was in the hot summer of 2001. It is interesting that here we are, eleven
years later debating the wars that were activated late that summer.
The pressure of Mars and Jupiter
has been throughout all these debates.
Now would be a good time to remind everyone about Jupiter’s
righteousness. He is THE planet of righteous
(Next to Saturn) and god knows politics has been loaded with righteous indignation
since before Caesar walked on Earth. We should expect once again a ton of ‘how dare you’ in posturing and tone even
if it is not said.
So, if so much of this debate
chart supports the topic of the night, then why am I confused? I am confused because I have a hard time
believing the topic will stay on Foreign Policy. I don’t think either candidate has the ability
to stay on topic for 90 full minutes. If history is telling, it would seem Romney will
try to move the topic to the economy and Obama will try to move it to social
issues. Since driving the subject to their favorite
topics would theoretically give each candidate more quivers to shoot. But if they stay on topic especially with such supportive aspects they will curry favor with viewers. If they shoe horn their own topics they may get blow back.
Perhaps the tension provided by
the Mars opposition Jupiter will be on Bob Schieffer keeping them on topic? He is a Pisces who has Moon in Virgo so
staying on track can be difficult. Schieffer is experiencing a Jupiter Trine Mercury which is great for communicating. Additionally, he has transiting Pluto trine
Uranus which is very significant for the person moderating the last debate
between the two men vying to be the most powerful man on earth. He does have a wonky aspect with Saturn in
a waning semi square with his Uranus.
This is a dulling aspect and a bit sobering. In addition the debate chart with the
Sun/Saturn conjunction could manifest with him trying to maintain control with
a cold tone. Of course, with
Sun/Saturn, there are no short cuts, it is all about whoever has done their
homework will rise to the occasion, if anyone has not done it, they pay
price.
What is most helpful to this
whole debate chart is the fact that in the United States chart, the USA has
Moon in Aquarius and on this debate the Moon is also in Aquarius making nice
aspects with Mars and Jupiter. There
will be at least one or two things said on that stage by one of the three
people that will relate to everyone in America.

Ted's Update
I got Ted Phillips latest update. Ted is a financial astrologer and a very clever Cap indeed!
Here's part of his newslestter, Go to LINK for rest of it.
Greetings everyone,
The day in history that shocked the financial world was on August 15th, 1971. This was also referred as “Nixon shock.” Former president Richard Nixon, closed the gold window. The United States made it impossible for other nations to peg their currency to the gold standard, which was the underlying principle behind the Bretton Woods system. As a direct result of the economic policies imposed by the United States at the time, the gold standard was all but abandoned and the world’s major currencies began to float. The Nixon administration effectively “defaulted” on the United States’ long-standing debt obligations ending once and for all the Bretton Woods System.
In other words, August 15th, 1971 is the official day the U.S. dollar was no longer pegged to Gold and was now a free floating fiat based currency backed by nothing but the full faith and credit of the United States and its printing press.
Here is another interesting fact I came across during my research. According to a study of 775 fiat currencies by DollarDaze.org, “there is no historical precedence for a fiat currency that has succeeded in holding its value. Twenty percent failed through hyperinflation, 21% were destroyed by war, 12% destroyed by independence, 24% were monetarily reformed, and 23% are still in circulation approaching one of the other outcomes.”
“The average life expectancy for a fiat currency is 27 years, with the shortest life span being one month. Founded in 1694, the British pound Sterling is the oldest fiat currency in existence. At a ripe ..... go to link for rest of the read.

Presidential Debate Tonight
Presidential Debate
Hempstead NY
The third
Presidential Debate is taking place later today in Hempstead NY.
This is a
much different affair than the first debate two weeks ago and last week’s Vice
President debate. Those debates had a
lot of ‘fight’ in them.
The chart
for tonight's debate is far less a ‘fighting chart’.
This chart
has Sun in Libra, Moon in Scorpio and Gemini rising. If this was a chart of a man or a woman,
they would be one smooth operator. Fighting?
Nope. They are too clever and too
cool to put on their dukes and fight it out.
This is a chart where we will see diplomacy and smiling and probably some hidden undercuts.
Interestingly
the chart is perfect for tonight’s format.
This is a Town Hall format where the in house audience gets to ask the
candidates questions. This is not as
likely an environment where candidate can be as strident as they were (or weren’t)
in the other debates, because they are looking at JoeQPublic and answering their question not looking at the
opponent.
Also tonight’s
debate chart, has nice aspects with the Moon.
The Moon is the planet associated with the public and the debate chart has
Moon Sextile Venus, Moon conjunct Mercury. Honestly, with this aspect I wonder if
it is a debate or a party? Although, there
is a quincunx between Moon and Jupiter which if I were consulting the
candidates I would strongly suggest that they not reply to a personal question
with a platitude answer. It will fall
flat with the public at home and may even ruffle feathers in the audience in
the room.
With the Sun
conjunct Saturn, if anyone has not done their homework, they will be
busted. But if they are all tuned up then then it could
be a night of everyone looking like authorities ---- The candidates, the
moderator and even the audience. Not that
it will be a staid night. There will be
sparks given Mars trine Uranus but with Uranus in the 11th house and
Mars in the 6th, the sparks and energy will come either from the
audience’s questions or Candy Crowley’s follow up. Remember the 11th house is the
house of groups of people and 6th house is the house of workers. Technically, the number one worker in the
room is Candy. Of course the candidates themselves may step
up and ‘work it’.
Venus square
Jupiter is probably the biggest hurdle in the debate chart. Venus in Virgo in the 4th house square
Jupiter in Gemini in the 12th is challenging. Venus rules money & values. In Virgo in the 4th, both
candidates had better be prepared to answer questions that speak to money
issues specifically for the regular American, the guy at home. “I’ve been unemployed for two years, what
can you do for me?” If either candidate
pivots to a general economy answer it will fall flat. How well do the candidates understand costs for
Americans will be revealed. Given it is
a square, I’m not sure either will gain ground.
Additionally, a gay marriage question
is highly likely with this aspect. Especially since Venus is love and in this
chart, Jupiter rules the 7th house of partnerships. Of
course, Venus connects to women issues. And Jupiter in the 12th connects
to religion. Virgo speaks to health
and workers. Gemini speaks to synthesizing
different opinions. Both Virgo and
Gemini are a nervous energy. Additionally,
Jupiter can speak to immigration. With the square it could make it difficult
for either candidate to make their point without looking like they are
pandering or just give nervous answers.
If you want
to see how the candidate’s chart’s compare with tonight’s event go to PoliticalAstrology.
Candy
Crowley is a Capricorn with Moon in Scorpio.
She does have Jupiter sextile her Pluto which probably speaks to the
large audience who may be seeing her for the first time. She is in a slow build of Uranus square Sun
(exact in November) which may push her to break free of some rules but Saturn
conjunct her south node in Scorpio which makes me think she will reign back any
renegade energy.
I'm walking away from this debate chart sensing a draw for everyone.
ETA: Well, here we are two days out from the debate and we're still talking about "Binders of Women" and Candy Crowley fact checking Romney. Like I said, That Venus Square Jupiter was the bitch aspect in the chart. And I think issues that are still being discussed speak to that aspect. Together we say, "gawd yes."

Libra New Moon 2012
Libra New Moon
October 15, 2012
8:02am EDT
Ah, it is going to be an interesting Libra cycle. Will we make the decisions we need to make? Or will we hang out in "I can't decide"? Ah, the conundrum.
Go HERE for the full article.
LIBRA NEW MOON
Libra is the second air sign of the
zodiac and as we know Communication is
the mandate for all air signs. With Gemini,
the first air sign, our conversations are all around us. We are talking to our siblings, our close
friends, maybe a neighbor or two, sharing a fun gossip. Now when
we get to Libra we are talking to our partner. We are looking at the other person across
from us and finding ways to come together. We are negotiating; we are finding the spot
in between our two hearts and two brains.
Libra’s ruling planet is Venus which
(among many things) connects us to love, appreciation, money and values. However, Libra is not mushy and overly
romantic. They do long for things that
are nice and even keeled however they are not pushovers. Hardly!
In fact they can be quite aggressive when they think something is…“Not
fair” They have a propensity to bitch about things
not fair in their life and they’ll bitch about things not fair in your life and
the neighbor’s life and their cousin’s life and their co-worker’s life….”fair,
not fair, fair, not fair…” It is
constantly on the tip of their tongue.
Of course, they are right that there is a lot of stuff in life that is
not fair. Some of it we can do something
about and some of it we cannot. What
drives Libra crazy is figuring out which is which.
In Search of Balance
At the core of Libra are the scales
of balance. They are always in search
of equilibrium. They feel lost if they
can’t stick their hand out and feel another person. Not to be cozy but more to find themselves
through the other person. They need to discuss much. “Should I get the black car or the blue one?” “Should I go for a raise before or after the
third quarter numbers?” They can be excellent
negotiators when they want for themselves and for others. They can be excellent lawyers. They also have great ideas to help others
find balance. “If you ask me, you need
someone to babysit one day a week so you can get your alone time.” When they are excelling they are standing
up, negotiating and finding a perfect balance of their needs while respecting
and understanding other’s needs.
Unfortunately, when Libra is lame they are wildly co-dependent, giving
up a lot just to maintain a relationship.
Even a lousy relationship. And then
they also can give up on things that they shouldn’t give up on because they
superficially judge it as too much work. Ah, cue the Clash, “Should I stay or should I
go.”

May we all be Cancer with Moon in Aquarius
102 years old going on 52. Please watch.
Have zero idea of her time of birth but I looked her up June 26, 1910 and I know she is a Cancer with Moon in Aquarius. Sun conjunct Pluto. Moon trine Pluto. Jupiter sextile Mars and Jupiter Square Sun....that might be the car stuff.
I will bet she has Sag Rising.
Thursday, October 11, 2012
I didn't see
the whole VP debate. But I do believe I was correct on this point earlier in the week when I wrote:
Going back to the Moon for a minute. Moon will be squaring Mars, conjunct Venus,
trine Pluto and trine Saturn.
In the debate chart the moon rules the 3rd house of communication and when I
look at all this pronounced Moon stuff I cannot help but think that this puts
the light on Martha Raddatz the moderator.
Moon is a
female planet and typically we think of it as ‘mother’. Moon in Virgo is a critical Mom. Moon in Virgo square Mars in Sag is an
opinionated critical mom. I think
Martha is going to be wildly in charge
of this debate and will hold both candidates feet to the fire. I would be blown away if she sits back and
doesn’t bust either one of them on any hyperbole. She
is also a seasoned foreign affairs reporter and has spent more of her life in
warring countries than either candidate.
My guess is she won’t be shy to
remind them (Remember that Jupiter in the 1st house) of her background. And
since Saturn and Venus are favorably aspecting the Moon along with Pluto trine
Moon--I can’t help but think the audience will be supporting her. Maybe she is the participant playing the depth
card?
Surprise, surprise, Martha is an Aquarian with Moon
in either late Aquarius or early Pisces (we don’t know her time of birth). My guess is that she is probably something
like 29 Aquarius or early Pisces and will be getting an opposition from the Moon
in Virgo. She also has Uranus
(building) in conjunction with her Mars right now. This is a once in a lifetime aspect but in
Martha’s case it went over her Mars in April, it goes over it again the week of
the election and then it goes over it again around the inauguration in
January. Clearly this debate has
gravitas in her chart and her future. And
maybe the country’s future? Pluto
and Chiron are also aspecting her moon
but since we don’t know her time of birth we can’t say for sure what is the
dates of those aspects.
"Planets are a girl's best friend".....
Diamond Planet: '55 Cancri e' Orbits Sun-Like Star 40 Light-Years Away, Astronomers Say
LONDON (Reuters) - Astronomers have discovered a planet twice the size of Earth made largely out of diamond which is orbiting a star that is visible with the naked eye.
The rocky planet, called '55 Cancri e', orbits a sun-like star 40 light years away in the constellation of Cancer and is moving so fast that a year there lasts a mere 18 hours.
Discovered by a U.S.-Franco research team, its radius is twice that of Earth's but it is much more dense with a mass eight times greater. It is also incredibly hot, with temperatures on its surface reaching 3,900 degrees Fahrenheit (1,648 Celsius).
"The surface of this planet is likely covered in graphite and diamond rather than water and granite," said Nikku Madhusudhan, the Yale researcher whose findings are due to be published in the journal Astrophysical Journal Letters.
The study - with Olivier Mousis at the Institut de Recherche en Astrophysique et Planetologie in Toulose, France - estimates that at least a third of the planet's mass, the equivalent of about three Earth masses, could be diamond.
Diamond planets have been spotted before but this is the first time one has been seen orbiting a sun-like star and studied in such detail.
"This is our first glimpse of a rocky world with a fundamentally different chemistry from Earth," Madhusudhan said, adding that the discovery of the carbon-rich planet meant distant rocky planets could no longer be assumed to have chemical constituents, interiors, atmospheres, or biologies similar to Earth.
David Spergel, an astronomer at Princeton University, said it was relatively simple to work out the basic structure and history of a star once you know its mass and age.
"Planets are much more complex. This 'diamond-rich super-Earth' is likely just one example of the rich sets of discoveries that await us as we begin to explore planets around nearby stars."

Vice Presidential Debate
The Vice Presidential Debate
This week
the 2nd Presidential Debate is scheduled to take place on October
11, 2012 at 9pm EDT in Danville KY and this time it will be the Vice Presidents in the center ring.
First of all
we know that both Joe Biden and Paul Ryan are scrappers. Pundits are pretty confident that both of
them are going to come into event like prize fighters entering the ring. Fists up.
Paul Ryan’s
chart can be found HERE:
Joe Biden’s
chart can be found HERE:
(Note time
is probably a guestimate by Biden).
For a read
on each candidate’s chart and how it plays against the chart of the debate go
to Political Astrology.
Above you will see I have
posted my own chart for this week’s debate.
Looking at transiting charts I see some interesting things.
I don’t need
to tell you that this debate will be different from from what happened in
Colorado.
First of all,
Biden and Ryan are different animals than their elevated partners. No shit.
But more interesting to me is that the debate in Colorado in Mountain
Time Zone gave the debate chart Aries rising, which was begging for a fight. Don’t
believe me? Do you not have any Aries in
your life? The thing Aries energy likes more
than anything is someone telling them NO so they can fight through it. Also
begging for a fight was Moon in Taurus oppose Mars in Scorpio.
I have done plenty of charts of
people with Moon oppose Mars and here is
their to do list: Wake up, shower, get
in fight, drink coffee, get in new fight, drive to work , get in fight and well
you get the picture.
Obviously, no
one told Mr. Obama that the chart was begging for a fight. Which was to his detriment. What was also interesting is that Jupiter
in Gemini was in the 3rd house and clearly reflected by the huge 60 million viewers who tuned in. And of course the next day all 60 million of them were political
pundits giving their arm chair analysis of the event. And they all judged it correctly.
With the
Danville debate chart we will be revisiting the fighting environment:
Moon Square
Mars: Moon in Virgo (“It’s the facts,
Man” vs Mars in Sag “It’s the judgment, Man” )
Mars in the
7th house will clearly show that these men are fighting for their
partner (7th) house and are going to tell America the truth (Sag
Mars). Emotions will be HIGH.
One thing I
find extraordinary is all the good aspects to Mercury. Mercury
sextile Venus, Mercury sextile Pluto, Mercury trine Chiron.
Everyone
will be on their game. Even if they are
not on their game they are on their game.
Communication will be coming out of this event that will speak to
everyone. And I don’t know why I bother
saying this but Mercury is squaring the MC so, yes, it will be as partisan as
one could expect no matter how lofty they try to appear.
Moon
conjunct Venus softens some of the rhetoric.
My guess is that both men will bring the human element
to the debate. There will be a
plethora of anecdotes of real life Americans who are experiencing this issue
and that issue. “Mary in Cleveland told
me…” , “Bob in Virginia Beach told me…”
Moon is on
waning Trine with Saturn but still in effect so the details will undoubtedly be
there. And if any candidate does not
provide facts and details the absence will be noted (greatly). I actually think there might be too many facts given given all the sixth house planets.
And Moon is
in trine to Pluto (applying) so depth, depth, depth is desired. Whoever plays the depth hand or at least is
perceived as playing that hand will score big points.
I think it
is interesting that in this chart Jupiter will be in the first house versus the
3rd house(last debate). Everyone and their brother know that amount of
viewers will be less than the first debate (that’s just how it goes
historically) but curious this debate is focused on Foreign Affairs which of
course speaks to Jupiter. Jupiter is in Trine to Sun so this is a debate
worth having and all are interested in it.
And it goes without saying exaggerations will be a plenty with Jupiter
in the first. How much they exaggerate will be talk of the
pundits for days.
Going back
to the Moon for a minute. Moon will be
squaring Mars, conjunct Venus, trine Pluto and trine Saturn.
In the
debate chart the moon rules the 3rd house of communication and when
I look at all this pronounced Moon stuff I cannot help but think that this puts
the light on Martha Raddatz the moderator.
Moon is a female planet and
typically we think of it as ‘mother’. Moon in Virgo is a critical Mom. Moon in Virgo square Mars in Sag is an
opinionated critical mom. I think Martha
is going to be wildly in charge of this
debate and will hold both candidates feet to the fire. I would be blown away if she sits back and
doesn’t bust either one of them on any hyperbole. She
is also a seasoned foreign affairs reporter and has spent more of her life in
warring countries than either candidate.
My guess is she won’t be shy to
remind them (Remember that Jupiter in the 1st house) of her
background. And since Saturn and Venus are favorably
aspecting the Moon along with Pluto trine Moon--I can’t help but think the audience
will be supporting her. Maybe
she is the participant playing the depth card?
Surprise,
surprise, Martha is an Aquarian with Moon in either late Aquarius or early
Pisces (we don’t know her time of birth).
My guess is that she is probably something like 29 Aquarius or early
Pisces and will be getting an opposition from the Moon in Virgo. She also has Uranus (building) in conjunction
with her Mars right now. This is a once
in a lifetime aspect but in Martha’s case it went over her Mars in April, it
goes over it again the week of the election and then it goes over it again
around the inauguration in January. Clearly
this debate has gravitas in her chart and her future. And maybe the country’s future? Pluto and
Chiron are also aspecting her moon but since we don’t know her time of
birth we can’t say for sure what is the dates of those aspects.
The chart
for the Democratic Party which you can find here:
This is a time of great tension in your relationship with your partner,
usually prompted by changes in your partner's attitude or life circumstances.
Your partner may be demanding that you change past behaviour or old habits. Although
this may be difficult for you to cope with, you would be wise to consider your
relationship seriously and wait patiently for the basic truth of the
partnership to emerge. If the relationship has become merely an outer shell
with no substance it may well break down. However, if it is a good relationship
the love will emerge once the superfluous relationship patterns have been
discarded.
When we look at the Republican Party Chart which you can find here http://tracyastrosalon.blogspot.com/2012/08/approaching-conventions.html
we see a
beautiful aspect by Uranus which rules TV and it is a (building) beautiful
sextile with Venus that started during the last debate and will continue to
build all month to October 28. The
good showing by Romney at the last debate plays into this aspect. Will it be enough to ride over Saturn conjunct
Pluto of the party chart exact on election day? I am inclined to think not.
Finally,
looking at the chart of the United States (Sibley)
Uranus has
been squaring the USA’s Jupiter all year.
It was exact on April 19 and will be exact again on October 14 and
finally one more time on February 18, 2013.
The last time this occurred was between May 1928 and March 1929. Who
will be our new Amelia Earhart or Mickey Mouse? Does this have any bearing on the
debates? I’m not sure but I do know
that Herbert Hoover got elected during the last one. Google Hoover and learn more.
Also in the USA chart we have transiting Jupiter trine natal Saturn coming into focus near
the last debate and exact the week of the election and again next April. And
we have the pair doing a similar nice tango when this time it is Saturn trines
natal Jupiter on November 24, May 31 and
August 14 2013. I think this could be
good economy business news. New opportunities are certainly highlighted. Also supporting the economy even further is Saturn trine Venus Exact on October 31st. This aspect also will be in effect big time on the last debate and definitely will be a factor at the
time of the election.
Lots to ponder after the fireworks in Danville KY.

Looking Ahead
We begin the week with with final quarter.
Last Quarter Moon Phase
October 8 3:33am EDT
Focus on: Where
does your family fit into your daily life?
How do you define family? How do
your emotions move you each day? How do
they speak to your schedule? How much of
your calendar is swayed by family and by feelings? Does it serve or not serve you?
Special focus:
10/9: Sun trine Jupiter: Great communication with partners. Great agreements. Bridging with another.
10/9 Venus trine Pluto: Resurrecting love and caring. Values feel fresh. Love feels fresh. Money
feels fresh.
10/10: Mercury sextile Pluto: Mentally feeling renewed and refreshed. New communication is rooted in being
practical while also being executive and seeing the big picture.
10/10: Saturn Trine Neptune: Being practical about resources is rewarded
by the universe. Mysterious offerings
are supportive.
Then at the end of the week we move into Balsamic. Honestly, I think I prefer the balsamic phases of the mutable lunar phases more than any other signs. There is something about those mutables that my brain is exhausted and needs a break.
Balsamic Moon Phase
October 11 10:48pm EDT
Balsamic: We let
go. By releasing we can prepare for the
new.
Focus on We release our need to micromanage. We release our critical nature. We release our OCD. We release our need to see, taste, feel, hear
something in order to believe it.
